"Jimmy and his team did a fantastic job on our flat roof replacement and repair. He responded to my initial Home Advisor request very quickly, did a walkthrough within a couple days, and presented various repair options at different price-points. We hired him, and he and his team finished the job in just 1 day, which included replacing half of the roof entirely (down to the plywood), sealing and painting the other half, and replacing gutters! After Jimmy was finished, he asked us to take a look and make sure it was perfect. Only when it was perfect did we have to pay him (no deposit!). During our walk through, I noticed roof paint was dripping down the newly replaced white flashing around the perimeter of the housed. Jimmy sent his team out immediately to fix it. "Gothic completed multi-faceted work including removal of chimney, replace framing and roofing along with building a new gas fireplace bump out where the old chimney was. After removal and disposal of the old brick and block chimney Gothic replaced water damaged structural members, replaced sheathing on both the wall and roof and framed and sheathed a new gas fireplace insert bump out. Gothic resided the new bump out matching the old vinyl siding perfectly, installed asphalt shingles on the repaired roof section, again matching the old work perfectly. All work was permitted and passed inspection with no issues, and they removed all the construction debris and cleaned the area such that I had no cleanup to do. I will be hiring them again for future work."

They were not the cheapest but based on the excellent work they did repairing siding after a storm a couple of years ago, I selected them to do my roof. "Excellent workmanship on my chimney (1938 cape cod). Took the chimney down from top of the roof level; reinforced it inside. Built the chimney with new brick (nice color match!). Installed new apex crown/new flashing. 23 layers of brick--a beautiful job...neat and courteous at a competitive price. Recommend: this family knows what they're doing. Obviously they are passing on a great work ethic from generation to generation. "I was looking for several contractors for a number of specialty jobs I needed done; masonry, carpentry, fireplace repair, and gutter repair/replacement to refurbish a house in Chatham NJ for sale. Our schedule was very tight. When Jay showed up for the masonry work, I found he also did all of the jobs I needed done. He did them quickly (in very bad weather) and at a price I thought was very fair. He was able to suggest several options for each task , and the results were very good. While there is still some work to get finished as soon as the snow melts and temperatures rise a bit, I am confident they will get done quickly and with quality.
