Both of these are old pieces but they came out very nice. The job was well done and I would hire them again and recommend to others. Most workers who have come into my home are terribly late and I’ve had to wait hours on people. But not this company. I was impressed with scheduling and promptness."

"Did a great job and did it fast. Only thing I would ask next time I hire this team is that they be more thoughtful of the mess they make and clean up better. I had to scrape up tiny dots of paint all over my house, on the floors, on the kitchen appliances, etc. Additionally when the new stairs were installed - I am very happy with the stairs! But, they cut the steps in the driveway with the front door open so my house was filled with sawdust and they didn't clean it up all the way. Partly my fault for not doing a final walk through with them to point this out. Also, it is important to get a set and agreed upon price - we asked for pricing several times and they changed it after they started the work. Not a huge change, but just something I need to note next time working with them or any contractor is to make sure the pricing is agreed upon for every line items, sq/ft is counted beforehand, not afterwards. More for my understanding of pricing than anything else. We also hired an electrician through this company. The electrician seemed to do great work - except he scratched up and marked up the walls on many, many areas next to the outlets and switches he changed.. I had to go back and repaint myself afterwards. Additionally, he did not clean up half the mess either. He left little screws and pieces of plastic all over the house - dozens of them. I had to pick them up myself. The day after he left, we noticed four outlets did not work in one room (they worked before he started his work...) so he came back quickly to address the issue but then asked us to pay him an additional $175. I did not feel that this was appropriate because we had already paid him over $2k and he came back to fix an issue that was only present after he did the original work. Not great business in my mind doing that.. Overall positive experience and I would hire again."

"Let me apologize now because this will be a lengthy review. We purchased a cabin in Cosby, TN (we live in Ohio) that was a total gut that had been started by the previous owner. We located Frank (JR - J and LRenovations) through Home Advisor. We were skeptical about hiring anyone we were not able to be around to oversee because we live out of the state. We met up with Frank (JR)and his lovely wife Lucille initially to discuss a leak in the roof. He brought his work truck and fixed the leak in the roof and refused to let us pay him. We knew then we had the right person for the job. We discussed our vision and everything we wanted and left things in his capable hands. I cannot begin to tell you the scope of work that was needed for this renovation. He completed everything we asked for from, tongue and groove walls and ceiling, electrical, laying tile and LVP flooring, plumbing, door, and cabinet installation, spraying the walls with poly, building steps, tearing out old fireplaces, spreading gravel and so much more! There are too many things to list! He even made it a point to be there when we had furniture delivered and counters installed so we did not have to make the trip down! Now that is someone who goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. He worked seven days a week and even on holidays (no we did not ask him to do this). His work ethic and craftsmanship are exceptional! This was a huge job for one person. We could not be happier with the end product. He went above and beyond our expectations, is a man of his word and truly cares about your property, his quality of work, and his customers. I cannot say enough great things about him and I encourage you to reach out to him for all of your home improvement needs.
