"Footprints Flooring of Central Oklahoma won the bid for hardwood flooring installation because they took the load of sourcing flooring and baseboards wholly off my shoulders and provided a very competitive price for the project, which consisted of replacing carpet with solid red oak flooring on a slab. The end result was absolutely stellar, but it took a good deal of time to achieve that end result due to the duration of sanding and finishing. Overall, we gave up our bedrooms and 2 of our three baths for close to a month. Was it worth it? Certainly. Did you like sleeping in the dining room for weeks? Of course not. A number of factors were in play to lengthen the finishing phase duration, and I discussed them with the franchise owner a number of times. He was unable to tighten up the process, which is reflected in the customer service score. That said, he acknowledged that the process could have been more efficient, and in or last discussions presented an approach that I think will benefit future customers. I would say that if you are going to use Footprints to install hardwood flooring, be firm and up front regarding your tolerance for delays and truncated workdays that extend the process. Not everything can dovetail chronologically given the need for grain filling to set, sealers and finishes to dry, etc., but it can be better and I think the franchise owner will improve this aspect of the install for future customers. I don't think you will get a better result from anyone else when it comes to solid hardwood flooring, but like Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescoes, be ready to give up the space for as long as it takes. You will see true artisan floor finishing, no question and no hyperbole. Like Pope Alexander VI though, you might be tempted to eat your hands before the job is done. Just keep your hands in your pockets and wait for the magic..."

"I couldn't say enough for their professionalism and quality of work. We needed to have 3-4 layers of wallpaper taken off the walls and ceilings. They had all taken down in 2 days working around furniture that had been "piled" in the center of the floor and had to work one room at time due to the small house - 800 Sq Ft. We had as much as we could boxed up and moved. They covered everything up and covered the floors with a plastic sheeting as they moved from one room to the other. They had to go back to "redo" sections of a room due to many layers of wallpaper on the ceilings. The cracks in the ceilings and walls were repaired before the texturing was started. Made a door for the plumbing of the shower stall and made sure all the ceiling fixtures were not dirtied or damaged. They painted the ceilings and walls after all were dry, also the woodwork. The foreman had come to find out what colors of paint we wanted in each room several days before the project started. They picked all the materials they needed for the project, so we didn't have to do anything except get things picked up as much as possible. They moved the furniture where/when needed - some we just couldn't do by ourselves. If I could, I would give them a 10 star."
