"We had vinyl flooring installed throughout our house. The crew removed the old carpet, baseboards and some tile. They installed new baseboard and flooring. Javier's crew did a FANTASTIC JOB! The price was very reasonable, and it was easy to communicate with Javier. We were told what time the crew would arrive and how long it would take to complete the work. After the flooring was installed, the crew cleaned up and didn't leave a mess on the floor. they are very friendly and nice. They installed flooring in another house that we had and because they do GREAT work we had them do our house. I HIGHLY recommend Monteros Hardwood Flooring."

We wanted all our solid oak floors refinished and then have new oak floors added in two new additional rooms that were built. This required matching and blending in new wood with 40 year old wood in places. In stark contrast to the general contractor we hired, Juan was very courteous, professional and genuinely took pride in his work. "The Good:
   COMMUNICATION:  Serj was quick to call me and set up an appt. He quickly sent a contract. His communication was clear. The guys came when they said they would. There were problems with the sloppiness of the work and Serj sent a member of his team out to fix them later.

The Bad:
   POOR JUDGMENT:  They put the carpet roll on the street in front of my neighbor's house which is right next to the car gate entrance of the neighborhood. I told the guys to use my driveway to cut the carpet, but they didn't. 5 hours later, it was still in front of my neighbor's house and I had to drag it away from there myself.
   SLOPPY:  The job took longer than I think they estimated. The guys were here almost 12 hours and by then end they were just trying to be fast and get out. This made them sloppy. They hacked many of my newly painted baseboards with the metal tool used to tuck in the carpet. There is also a gap that can fit my fingers between the carpet and many of the baseboards. The seams in most rooms were very visible. They didn't even tuck the carpet in on all sides of most steps on the staircase.

Conclusion:
    Communication is really important. The team is not as detailed as I think they should be, but they are willing to fix the problems if you point them out. Serj wants to do a good job.

"Old Tyme tore out and hauled away our carpet, prepped and sealed the concrete, and installed Marmoleum (natural linoleum) floors and moulding in two rooms and a hallway. We purchased the flooring from the manufacturer, not through Olde Tyme, so that was a separate cost. These guys do excellent work. They cleaned up beautifully after each day of work, and carefully followed Covid safety protocol as well. The only problem we had was with scheduling. Still, we would recommend this company and will probably call them for our next project."

"Byron showed up on the agreed date / time to begin the work. He first helped me move the large furniture out of the room, and then he removed the existing carpeting and pad. After that, he prepared the concrete for the new flooring. Once the concrete was ready he installed the vapor barrier and then the insulation layer... and then the floor. Byron planned the layout so the wood patterns were optimal. To save me money, he was careful not to damage the existing molding. Lastly he installed the 1/4 round shoe base to cover any space between the existing molding and the floor. The final step was the install of the T-molding at the doorways. Byron's effort to provide an excellent outcome was very much appreciated. I am extremely happy with the outcome. He's a professional that takes pride in his work."
