"Excellent team! Came in and demo’d tile downstairs and removed carpet then installed wood vinyl all in five days. Completed the stairs with wood vinyl and then installed carpets upstairs. Entire job was complete in less than two weeks. Alfredo and team were fantastic and recommend to anyone looking for a flooring project! "It was a pleasure working with Mario, he is very knowledgeable and helpful. Mario?s team did a great job repairing my antique hardwood floor in my 110-year old house. There was water damage, dry rot and missing wood planks. They did a great job at blending in the new wood with the old wood. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly crew. The floors look beautiful! I highly recommend Mario Diaz Flooring.
The job took 3 days total including two coats of oil-based polyeurthane. Once the work was completed I had to wait a total of 48 hours before I could move my furniture back in (24 hours for the oil-based polyeurthane to dry and another 24 hours for it to cure). The smell of the top coat is very strong for the first 2-3 days as expected due to it being oil-based and not water-based. I chose a semi-gloss finish, no staining necessary. The type of wood we had to purchase to match my old floors was very expensive, but blended in nicely."
The rule of thumb is to add 10% for installations of under 1,000 square feet. If your installation is more than 1000 square feet, 7% is the appropriate adjustment. For diagonal installations or lower-grade hardwood products, 15% is the recommended adjustment.
