As someone who has used the "big stores" for a hardwood flooring project and have now completed my project with Gentry's Hardwood Flooring, there is a difference. The differences are attention to detail, quality, and reputation. The "big stores" subcontract out there work to 'other' installers. Those installers get paid the more jobs they do.
