"Francis and his colleague were extremely professional, courteous, friendly, prompt, thorough, communicative, and knowledgeable and remained so throughout the entire process--from initiation of contact through completion of the project. I work in the construction and design industry and have worked with numerous vendors over the past several years, and by far, I received the most impeccable service from Francis and his colleague. Francis called me less than an hour after I submitted my information on Angieâ  s List and took the time to fully understand my flooring needs. He then asked for my availability and worked with my schedule so we could set up a time to get the job done. On the morning of, Francis arrived prompt and on time, letting me know in advance that he was minutes away and even waited an additional ten minutes for me to open the door. When he and his colleague arrived, they brought in their equipment, connected to my power box and put up plastic to make sure the dust didn't escape the room, while continually making sure the area was secure. They also paused for a little while as I took an important business call. I was scheduled to do one room, which takes two days for drying and finishing purposes, but was so pleased with the finished product (it wasn't the original plan color-wise but it looked so good), I decided to get the other two rooms done as well. When this room was finished, Francis waited 15 minutes, as I got the payment situated. For the additional rooms, I was offered a very fair and reasonable price and following the same process as before he and his colleague were able to schedule it quickly. This time, Francis had to make a change to the schedule for an urgent matter and with good reason and informed me of this in advance so we made a change to the schedule as needed. The day of, he again arrived prompt and on time. This time around, furniture needed to be moved, a lot of it, two rooms worth, and Francis and his colleague got it done. They were so good with moving the furniture; I wanted to call them and pay them extra to move it back. I'm still wondering how they got my sofa through the small door. They also made sure I stayed connected to wifi since I was working from home. Anyway, they worked on the second two rooms, and again were prompt, professional and quick. I felt comfortable with them in my home and left for an hour while they continued to work. I was a little slow returning and Francis called me to let me know, they were wrapping up, waiting five minutes until I came back. Everything was exactly where I left it. On the second day, they came back to finish the job and were quick, courteous and friendly. Before they left, I made the payment (this time I was prepared) and it was done. Throughout the flooring process, I felt comfortable. Francis and his colleague are very down to earth and it felt like good old-fashioned workmanship without all the thrills and frills and gimmicks. It was so simple and affordable. Grade A Flooring has the best prices and craftsmanship ever, and I am sure the business will continue to grow. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys. You will be thrilled with the results! Short story process: 1. Received call and scheduled flooring according to needs Day One: 2. Francis and his colleague arrived prompt and on time letting me know he was nearby before hand 3. Furniture moved 4. Safety precautions taken (doors closed, areas covered as needed, power setup properly) 5. Floor sanded/stripped 6. Floor Buffed 7. Floor "painted" Day Two: 9. Floor glossed 10. Payment made 11. "Toscano gave me the lowest bid of the three companies I had come and give me a formal estimate. (Definitely worth getting in-person quotes, despite it being a hassle.) And while the conventional wisdom says that the cheapest company usually isn't the best, the opposite was true here. These guys couldn't have been better. (Btw, if you live in Manhattan, as I do, most companies charge a LOT extra just to come into the city, and they complain about parking, and driving time etc etc. But Toscano is based in Manhattan so they treated my location as a non-issue. Plus, they were very familiar with the requirements of Manhattan co-ops -- Certificates of Insurance, providing written project scope to the management office, etc., and they did all that very quickly and easily and at no additional cost.) But money aside, these were super nice guys - very accommodating and installed the floors while working around my furniture and even without disconnecting my cable/wi-fi, which I needed to have live and didn't want to deal with reconnecting. (Never complained a bit -- not even an eye roll, despite all my special requests.) Also just did an A+ excellent job -- very meticulous and cared about the details. Obviously pros with lots of experience. Good communication too; Tosacano even assigns a project manager to coordinate the job and she called or texted every morning and every evening -- checking in and making sure all was well. The guys were prompt, reliable, efficient, very careful and respectful, and I LOVE my floors! I did the floors throughout my entire apartment, and I tried to minimized the furniture in most rooms, but my bedroom had a lot in it that needed to be moved, and these guys were SO careful and replaced every single thing to exactly the same spot it was originally -- made sure my rug was lined up precisely as I wanted it, etc. I was amazed. Plus, I had an issue about finding the right "transition" pieces to go from my existing kitchen flooring into my new flooring through the rest of the apartment, and the obvious options would not work for me. So I was scrambling to get something that would work, and get it in time. The lead crew guy was surprisingly patient as I explored various options, and he offered suggestions and seemed sincerely to want me to get the right thing that would make me happy -- not just rush through and get it done. In the end, he went above and beyond and did a sort of custom fix so that I could have the metal transition that I wanted, even though it definitely was extra work for him and not part of the original quote. (It was not a lot of extra time for him, but it was also officially not his problem to solve, and yet he did it happily.) I only wish this company did more than floors because I would use them to do my entire apartment remodel. If I have to say one negative thing, I will just mention that the sawing does create a lot of dust, and they kept assuring me that they would come in and vacuu"
