They were punctual, efficient, and their craftsmanship was outstanding. Javier and his team were friendly and respectful. They came in and removed the old engineered wood and carpet and did so quickly and began the installation the next day. We had to stagger the install of the stairs because the materials for the stairs did not arrive until the next week. He was accommodating of the delay with no problems. "We visited the business several times before deciding to purchase carpet there. The owner was professional and provided information without being pushy. He came to our house to measure and provide a quote. The installers were efficient and completed the job in a day. They did not charge to move the furniture (the other businesses we looked into did). We could probably have paid less at Home Depot or someplace similar, but we were interested in patronizing a small business that used their own employees to install the carpet instead of contracting out. The carpet was installed in September and we have been very happy with it. I would recommend Carpet Time highly."

I called them to install sheet linoleum in a bathroom, and he showed me that wood-patterned vinyl boards are a much better product at no extra cost. The installation was done on schedule, in 4~5 hours, and it looks beautiful! They did all the cutting outdoors to keep our house free of dust, and cleaned up everything afterward. We bought a mid-century home with carpet and soon after closing escrow we discovered beautiful Red Oak Wood floors but they were in need of TLC.  The master bedroom was in bad shape and in need of much attention.  The rest of the house, 2 additional bedrooms, 2 hallways and a living room were in decent shape but still needed work.   

Initial contact: I emailed Mario Diaz via Angie's List, requesting an appointment.  Mario responded within 48 hours, asked me to call him at my convenience to set a meeting date.

Estimate day: Mario arrived on-time, no kidding our appointment was at 11am and he was at our front door at 11am!  He walked in and said, “these floors are beautiful” (which I couldn’t see it at the time).  He walked around and looked at every detail, we shared our interest in staining the floors to a dark stain.  My reason for staining was because I didn’t think the stains and discolorations would all come out.  Mario discouraged us from staining them, which by the way I am thrilled we took his advice.  We also had termite damage in one bedroom which Mario assured me I wouldn't be able to tell where the damage was after the job was done.

Mario provided us with a detail estimate of the work one-day after the walk-through.  The estimate was very fair and we hired him.  We had a few other things going on at the house so we asked to push the work back a few weeks. 

Project day:  Mario and crew arrived on time and started the work immediately.  All floors were completely sanded at the end of day 1, and on day 2 they were cleaned and the first of two top coats was added.   I was then able to see Mario’s vision, my floors looked amazing!  We are very happy with Mario and crew, they were all very professional, respectful, punctual and clean! They cleaned at the end of the work day which is very important considering the amount of dust this job produces.  I also want to mention that one room and one hallway have parquet floors, and those were sanded by hand in order to maintain the integrity and style of the floor.

We are very happy with the outcome, our floors look amazing, brand new and yes I cannot tell where the original stains and termite damage was!!!  Thank you Mario and crew for a job well done!!!
