Josh and Albert were my installers for the hardwood and tile. They were thorough in everything they did, and worked with me on the nuances of certain areas. They were punctual, communicative, and respectful. Any construction process in your home is going to be stressful, but they made it easy, and they were a pleasure to have around. Arturo installed my carpet, which only took a few hours. He did a great job. These people care about what they're doing and are masters of their craft. "I experienced a water leak in my home due to a cracked water hose that damaged the flooring and walls in 4 different rooms. After having another company handle mitigation, I contacted Carlos about painting partial walls and using some of my existing flooring that I've had since the initial job 7 years ago, as well as some new carpet and vinyl planks. I knew before contacting him that it is much harder to match existing paint and flooring than doing it all new. I'm beyond happy with all the work and results performed by Carlos and crew. He had a highly skilled crew for each of the 3 different jobs (paint, vinyl, carpet). The color matching exceeded my expectations. I can't see any paint difference in any of the rooms even though they did not paint full walls. I did need new carpet for a walk-in closet, and the match is so close to the existing that it certainly doesn't bother me at all. • We had a tight schedule with a upcoming move in date. Mike Pillar came to our new home, and got back to us with an estimate. We decided to accept his bid, selected one of the samples that he provided, and went to his shop to sign the contract. At that time we were told that the wood that we had selected was not in stock, and it would take six weeks to get. He suggested an alternative, that was available immediately. We were disappointed but had a time crunch, took the new sample to our home, and determined that is as an acceptable replacement, (although visibly was inferior quality 25% thinner), than our original selection. The following week, we met with the installers, and proceeded to leave them to work, when the foreman came running after me, and wanted to show me that the wood that they were installing, did not match the sample, that was still in my house. It was clearly a different dye lot. I was very upset and got in touch with Mike Pillar. He insisted that it was the same, even though myself, my husband, and his employee clearly saw a difference. I was thrilled to find out that the original wood that we had selected suddenly was available, however, we were now being charged an extra $680 to get the floor that we were originally quoted on. The explanation that we were given for the price increase was that the stairs cost more with that wood, even though that flooring isn't even on the stairs. The stairs are stained wood. In the end the quality of the work, and the overall pricing was good. I didn't appreciate the bait and switch tactics, the unreasonable price increase, or the way that I was spoken to by the owner.
