"I am amending my review after subsequent contact with Basement Systems. Ultimately I am satisfied with the work they finally did, Kathy from the office is very sweet and the work done by Dale was ultimately done although there was much confusion since I was never called or emailed to let me know that the work was complete (it is a weekend property and we were not present- which makes it challenging to schedule with providers). I do wish they did a better job with communication since this was the main issue (not hearing from them when they were not able to come for an appt or not hearing that they were coming to do the job!) I will say that despite my frustration, I do think the work was done well, Dale assessed another concern or ours unrelated to this job, and will be coming back to further assess and provide an estimate if need be, and Dale even closed a garage door that was left open by another service provider which was much appreciated. So I certainly would do business with them again and am pleased with the final outcome. But for the sake of completion, below is my original review.  

Prior review:
Was initially very pleased with prompt initial response and visit from Dale for free estimate. He came on 9/16 as scheduled, was very likable, friendly and informative and spent much of time surveying house and property and providing recommendations as to how to best address leak in basement and buried drainage pipes on the property of our newly purchased home. Was told he would email estimate within week. Dale made such a good impression that I was surprised that I did not receive the estimate within a week. I called 2 weeks later to remind them to provide estimate which should have been my first clue that things would not proceed smoothly.
Had difficulty getting work scheduled which was to be approx 4 hours of labor for 2 men. Not totally their fault as we are weekenders and could only be there for thurs/friday/saturday dates, so I can appreciate that scheduling might be difficult, but still frustrated that work was scheduled for a friday 2 months later. Was called a few hours before appt and told that someone was sick and they could not do job. Was not called back when I asked to reschedule. When I finally reached Kathy who works in the office was told that Dale would come personally the following Monday and do the work himself. Needless to say he never did and I never heard from anyone from the company since then. Wasted nearly 3 months of our time and left at square one. Thanks for nothing. Extremely disappointed with lack of professionalism and surprised that this company has such high ratings."

He renovated large blue stone terraces, stairs, walls, a 150 feet canal, built a beautiful and functional firepit and also renovated the chimney with care. "I contacted Antonio from Roger landscaping and concrete to get an estimate on a totally botched up sidewalk and stair job. I was in desperate need to have somebody fix the disaster that was left to me and my family, let alone my house. We originally hired a contractor back in July who made a total mess of my property and Home Advisor did nothing to help us with the mess that Joseph Arbore & Sons left here. I tried to contact many other contractors and none showed up. I waited countless days and hours on others and the responses and excuses were horrendous. Finally thank God, I found Antonio and his family. I contacted him and he showed up when he said he was going to show up giving me the estimate so we could decide if we will proceed with the work. When Antonio came to look at the disaster we decided that we would work with him as I felt he was honest and FAIR and the project commenced as we planned and as we discussed amongst ourselves. He and his sons and father in law are extremely meticulous. And it truly shows in their work. I must say that they really had their work cut out for them because fixing this mess was something that a contractor would really not want to take on. He completely redid the long front walkway and side walkway, redid the botched up stair job with bluestone, resurfaced the front foundation of the home and more. This has got to be the most reliable family run company I’ve ever dealt with and it was truly a pleasure. The job was completed in full yesterday and we can’t be happier. Truly professional at what they do. They also show up EARLY and work a full day. I did not have this experience with the other so called contractor. In fact we are so pleased, that we are going to be using Roger for our Spring project which will consist of a small patio, and much more. I simply cannot be any happier. At least now I can have people come for the holidays and not have to worry about someone being injured on the walkway. Roger landscaping is reasonable, RELIABLE and are meticulous about their work and for that I am MOST grateful. I look forward to seeing them in the spring. I highly recommend them. You will be pleased."

"Fausto and his team were great! I would have no hesitation in using them again. I had the attic space of a two-family building insulated with blown-in cellulose. I had already used Tigasi Home Improvement for a smaller Rockwool basement ceiling job and they were very reasonable in price, thorough and clean so I turned to them for this project. Again they gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote for removing old insulation, sealing gaps and then insulation, and Fausto explained the process well. He was very patient and understanding with my tenants' concerns, as access was via a drop down ladder in one unit's hallway. I also wanted an extended platform for storage in the attic and they were able to sort this out for a reasonable price.The team kept the job site extremely tidy and they were pleasant throughout.
