We came to our home in the fall of 2011.  We "inherited" the former owner's lawn service.  Over several years, we became dissatisfied with that service and reviewed recommendations on Angie's List in hopes of finding a new lawn care service provider.  Our Angie's List search brought us, serendipitously, to Mark Ruppert. 
We walked the property with Mark in late September 2013.  We were impressed with Mark's demeanor, level of expertise, and common sense approach to what we viewed as "problem" areas on the property.  Given this very favorable first interview, and after considering options, we decided to hire Mark Ruppert's service.  My husband and I have been thanking our lucky stars ever since! 
Very shortly after we hired Mark, we needed a patio built in our back yard to support a hot tub.  We asked Mark for a proposal.  The schematic that Mark presented for review was inventive, aesthetically lovely, and beautifully detailed.  We accepted the proposal and went forward with the project with Mark at the helm. 
A pre-existing drainage system was discovered during excavation.  Changes to the original plan were needed.  Mark came up with an equally attractive, new outline for the patio to accommodate the older, pre-existent drainage system.  Mark then engineered an elegant solution that addressed the overall poor drainage in our back yard area.  
Mark's communication skills (via phone or email) were always first rate.  We were never left wondering what was going on or what was going to happen next. 
Mark and his crew consistently produced a level of quality work that was exemplary in every respect.  From inception in mid-October 2013 to completion of the project in 2014, we have been immeasurably enthusiastic about everything that Mark Ruppert and his superior crew have done to enhance the beauty of our property.

"Marino's Water Works was great on a crazy snowy Saturday afternoon (3 feet of snow on the ground, more coming down) when our water pump stopped working. Answered our call immediately, arrived at our house within an hour, fixed the problem (a lightning strike had incapacitated the pump, requiring soldering wires and then flipping the circuit breakers). What a relief! Getting out of our driveway proved a terrible challenge -- ice and snow on a sloping curve -- but we figured it out together with a tremendous amount of good humor and calm. "Mark came out and we discussed what size pond that he would build. He gave me an estimate of when the work would begin. Two weeks later he and his crew came in and built the pond in 2 days. It looks beautiful. Mark explained to me everything that I needed to know about the upkeep of the pond. My husband is disabled so Mark came back and planted the plants and added the fish, snails and tadpoles for me. He also is going to come back in the fall and winterize it for me. I have and will recommend his company to anyone who is interested in having a pond installed in their yard. It has been wonderful to see my husband sitting by the pond!"

"We hired White Oak Landscapers for a complete driveway renewal that would be functional for us, but also aesthetically pleasing. After considering many options (asphalt, pavers, concrete), we decided to stick with the loose stone driveway we currently had which needed much refreshing,. Since our driveway is on a higher level than our home, we would need appropriate drainage from rain and other driveway options were less feasible than stones. Bob Laughran had infinite patience and clear expertise to advise us as Senior Citizens on what would be best for our driveway problem and most cost-effective. His company was able to provide us with a loose stone driveway which better suited our needs and cost than pavers would have. We also needed help with our yard for Spring Cleanup-Up, re-mulching, and mowing services. White Oak workmen did a fantastic job on all these projects and we were well-satisfied with the results and the final cost.The crew worked skillfully while we were away, and we came back to a home whose driveway and lawn care displayed a lovely, welcoming exterior.
