"    IN the beginning we had several companies come in and give us bids and options on getting the cabinets repaired.  Two of the companies voiced that the cabinets were too severely damaged and needed to be completely striped and refinished.  with a cost that was between 4000 and 6000$.  I had heard from a friend about a process called restoration. with that process i was told that aged or damaged cabinets could be brought back to looking new for a fairly inexpensive cost.  Then asked both the businesses if they new anything about restoration both responded with thats not possible and doesn't work.      To say the least I was not convinced.   I then called my friend who told me about the restoration, she gave me a referral card for The Wood Doctor. Right from the start the wooddoctor crew made us feel comfortable about having them in our home. They seemed polite, professional, and trustworthy. I asked them about the restoration process. I initially asked for an estimate on a small bedroom dresser and while Jeff was picking up the dresser, I asked him about a dining table that has a top coat of a design with lacquer that was chipping in several spots. I had previously contacted several other furniture repair people who said they couldn't do the work. To my delight, Jeff was able to refinish the table and deliver it within the tight schedule he committed to prior to Christmas Eve. "I expected the cleaning technique would be the truck-mounted negative-air vacuum process. However, Aegis uses the point of contact method, removing vent covers and inserting the vacuum. The tech was very friendly. We did a walk through to view the number of air ducts to be cleaned and to be certain all necessary furniture and items were moved to allow clear access. He cleaned all of the air vents, the furnace and the dryer vent. There was a considerable amount of debris in the air vents as we bought the house new, and the vents hadn't been cleaned to remove dirt and debris from construction. My only complaint was that the tech said we didn't need to move a chest in the hallway above which the air exchange was located. He did move it later without my knowledge or help, and explained afterwards that one of the legs of the chest broke as he re-positioned the chest.

"Deal stated that the sprinkler heads would be cleaned and adjusted.  Upon arrival I had to explain the deal contents.  Worker said he would clean the heads and he only cleaned about 2/3's of them.  I walked around later and many were not even touched.  I did get a bid on the repair of a broken line which I did request.
If a firm is going to promote a deal they should adhere to the details that I assume they define in the first place.  I did not get what I expected, which was cleaned sprinkler filters on all zones.

"I purchased the Angie's List deal and I was promptly contacted.  I was hard to get a hold of and they were considerate.  I felt my business was important to them.  We went over the things I needed fixed over the phone and set up a date to do the work.  They called to tell me they'd be 5 minutes late and apologized.  I appreciated the courtesy.  2 gentlemen came in and got right to work.  They repaired everything I asked and were very professional.

"It was very worthwhile to use this service because the decorator answered some critical questions and kept me from making costly mistakes.  It is a good place to start and the price was right for what she did.  She spent 30 minutes on the phone talking to me but before that she spent a significant amount of time looking over photos and measurements that I submitted to her by email. She put a lot of time into the consult.  This service would be great for choosing wall colors, flooring, and fabric for furniture.  I will definitely keep her contact information for future projects.
