"Garage door broke on a Saturday night. I called Sunday morning and they had somebody out to assess the same day. The door was broken in 3 places, so could not be fixed. I have two doors and the opener was not working on the other door. I upgraded the doors and openers. They could have installed the next day, but my schedule didn't work. We scheduled for 3 days later. They were on time and very professional. I would definitely recommend"

"The garage door technician came out to access the issue with my garage door. We both looked over what was going on and he got right to fixing the door. I was pretty pleased with what he did to repair the issues with the garage door. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. "Garage door is great. Work on modifying the trim was hacked up, removed siding once installed it was not sealed. He was supposed to come back to put the drywall up and it was over a week and no call. Left sawdust in the garage, driveway, left hardware in the driveway and worst of all he left cigarette butts in my yard. Would not recommend to anyone. Do not want him back at my house."

"Excellent. They fixed my garage next day because they had the panel for my garage door the other installers needed a month to get from the manufacturer on back order, including the big box store. Reasonable price, great service."

"Project: Coat Concrete Floors with Epoxy or hybrid Polymer. Quick, easy, and straight-forward with no hard sell!. Adam gave us the best price, quickly worked us into his schedule, and ensured the job was done right. The garage floor looks unbelievable! Adam and the technician were very professional. I'd definitely hire again and refer to others."

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
