We discovered that one of the torsion springs had snapped (it's 16 years old).  I called the company at about 9:00 PM & left a message with their answering service. Someone from the company called back the next morning, & a technician was at our house by about 1:00 PM the next day.  Thankfully we didn't have to work that day, as my husband's car was trapped in the garage; they may have been there even sooner if we had.  My husband was home when the service was performed, & said the technician was very nice, & completed the job in about an hour.
