"I was pleased with the way the representative talked with me on the phone when I called and even more happier when they were able to come the next day and repaired my garage door within a few hours. The young man Trevor was courteous, focused, and professional. The price was affordable to me and that made me even more satisfied"

"I am so impressed by this company and by Brandon especially. They contacted me immediately and even offered to come out same day. I unfortunately wasn’t available, so we scheduled for the next day. Brandon was able to identify the issue within seconds of witnessing my garage door problem and fixed it so quickly it blew my mind! On top of that, he was so personable and professional. If I ever have a garage door issue or question again, I know who to call! If you need help with your garage, this company is your best decision."

"This is the last garage door review you need to read. Your search ends here. Connor came out (Fri) to inspect two broken wood garage doors, same day, after providing the lowest quote in town. The City was scheduled to cite me with a fine if it wasn't done by Monday. After evaluation, and upon hearing of my urgent time dilemma, Connor offered to do the job the very next day (Sat), which was actually his day off. Even so, he took his time to ensure a quality installation and to explain and adjust for structural flaws in the house door frame and foundation, which make a perfectly square door appears crooked or out of alignment, in a very old structure. The end result was a flawless install, in the fastest time possible, at the lowest price possible. He earned a sizable tip for doing a top notch job from a World Class company. As the thorough perfectionist that I am, I did my due diligence and had 7 or 8 of the top rated companies come out first and bid. I have saved you a ton of hassle and risk by relaying my experience. You can end the search now. Hit that call button and move on with your life. ?"

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Irving, TX

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
