"The price was fair, the doors are good quality and were installed quickly and professionally. The most impressive part was the low pressure sales. Joe presented the options effectively but at no point did he try to sell us anything we did not need - like more expensive doors or new openers. Greatly recommend All Jersey Garage Doors."

"The garage door expert arrived on time. He was polite, courteous and professional. He inspected the garage door, springs, cables and hardware, and pointed out how the existing springs were insufficient causing the garage door opener to overwork and advised me on all necessary repairs. He replaced what was needed and recalibrated the garage door opener to adjust for the new springs. The garage door now works seamlessly and much quieter than before. Next year will have Precision install a new insulated steel door and will request the same technician."

"I would recommend 33rd to my family and friends; Guy who was the installer of my motorized door opener was excellent; he professionally installed the equipment, and explained everything step by step regarding the operation of the garage door opener; although Guy came late on both occasions, his personality made up for it."

Customers say: Quick response
"Excellent craftsmanship and service. We needed a new frame for a new garage door, and service for the existing door for a freestanding 2 car garage. Jairo s estimate was already significantly Less than others, and he proposed exactly what was requested without any attempts to upsell to get more work. The work was completed very early and with no issues. I ve added them to my favorites for upcoming future work. Definitely worth it for basic or challenging garage door projects."

"Kudos to Glenn Cavada and his men! This is how every contractor and job SHOULD go. In mid July '22 my husband had posted on an Angie's List-type website for epoxy installers to have our garage floor refinished. Glenn responded the same day and was the only contractor who responded at all. We expected to be told that it wouldn't be able to be done for weeks or months. Not so. We could have had it done the next week! There was a DIY epoxy job on the floor that had some leveling cement underneath that was cracking and pulling up in places. Glenn said it looked like most of it was in good condition and hoped that it wouldn't have to be ground all the way down, which would have added considerable cost to the job. It couldn't be determined if that would be the case until after the job was started. We could have been "taken". Glenn was honest and reported that it did not have to be ground down. The job turned out BEAUTIFULLY, and meticulous care was taken to replace the transition between the driveway and the garage floor. We are very pleased. Thank you!"

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
