"Weaver Door company did an excellent job of installing our new garage door. We are so pleased with their work. The garage door operates very smoothly and efficiently. It keeps a lot of the cold air out of our garage during the cold winter months. I recommend them highly. Review by: Betty W. in Reading, PA"

"I thought about coating my new garage floor myself. After talking to and seeing other's floors that did it themselves, I was not impressed with the do-it-yourself products. I am very happy I went with Stronghold flooring. I spent more than I wanted but the end product is awesome and I don't have to re-do the floor after a year of wear and tear. Very strong, looks awesome and easy to clean. The floor in my garage looks better than the flooring in my house!"

"All areas of reconstruction were handled with expertise. Our kitchen was completely rebuilt to include granite counters and island, new cabinets and removing part of the wall to enlarge kitchen and dining area. Attention to every detail was important to the entire crew. Craftsmanship in all areas was excellent. Master bath was totally redesigned and included a pocket door. Love our new bathroom! Any issue or change was handled promptly and efficiently . We had a great working relationship with Joe Stillman and highly recommend his company AllPhase."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Lititz, PA

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
