"I called this company because my garage door would not close, I thought something was in the way of the sensors but learned that was not the case. They answered right away and within 40minutes I had a technician at my door. He spotted the problem immediately and 30 minutes later my garage door was functioning properly. The technician Michael was very professional, the prize was appropriate and the service was excellent."

"Ryan B. is a personable franchisee. He and his crew did a professional job. Due to afternoon rain, he had to return 3 times to finish my garage floor. He didn't want to jeopardize the finished product and would not complete his work when there was a chance of water damage. I did have a very minute water damaged area and he returned a 4th time to correct the problem. Great service!"

"Excellent service from start to finish! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue with my garage door, and explained everything clearly before starting the repair. The work was completed efficiently, the price was fair, and the garage door now works perfectly. The technician was friendly, professional, and left the area clean when the job was finished. I highly recommend Home Service Garage Door Company to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and high-quality garage door service. I would definitely use them again."

We are so happy we went with Alex Williamson. They did so much in prep before the job and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction before he took a dime for the job! We would recommend them to anyone and we are planning fit use them for some interior work this fall!"

"We hired T&H services Mainly to repaint and remodel our upcoming Nrw Born Baby's Nursery. However, as work started we realized other areas could use some sprucing up. We eventually painted the Garage, Basement and our Primary Bedrooms. We also had new Flooring and Cabinets installed. The crew was professional and on time and everything was done before our Baby girl arrived. I'd hire them for any Home Remodeling needs in the future. Bravo Guys!"

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
