"I highly recommend this product and this company. I found Tint Factory through the list of LA recommended companies on the 3M website. they were not the only companies that I interviewed. I called 3M a few times with questions and interviewed the companies that came out to give bids. the Tint Factory people from the beginning couldn't have been nicer. they were on time, explained every step, cleaned up all and the price was right. the film takes about a month to "cure" and the work was done only a few days ago but what a transformation - the house is so much cooler and 99% of the UV rays are no longer going to fade my furniture, photos or art. a happier me. my assistant marveled today at how much cooler the house was and it was blistering outside today... LA will, unfortunately, only be getting hotter - solar film is a good way to reduce that heat load. even if you use air-conditioning (which I don't), you will have less hot air to cool."

"It went fine. They removed double sliding patio doors, replaced all wheels on doors and installed new track on bottom. Old track was so bent we could barely move the doors. They now glide easily. At first they were noiseless, but a couple of weeks later they got a little noisy, although they still glide smoothly. This may have been due to pressure put on the door when we later had a safety laminate put on the glass. I wish I'd done it years ago, as the struggle to open & close them was really annoying.
We initially planned to replace the doors, but they're 60 years old, no one makes them any more and it would have cost many thousands of dollars to replace. We're quite happy.

"I took a cold call from Chris in Fall 2018 and am so glad I did! I had been looking for replacement windows for original 1930s wood windows, as well as a few 1970s aluminum windows. For me, vinyl just wasn't going to work as I wanted to keep the quality of the house in its original form, as well as upgrade the 70s remodel to be more consistent the original part of the house. Chris came and suggested a new product for him, Sierra Pacific. I did some research and determined, for my project and for the cost (I had bids as high as $100K for this job) that I was willing to give this product and Chris a shot. It was a very large job, 27 windows, some on the second story, plus a large 8ft glass slider, and a standard exterior door. The project did take several weeks, but Chris throughout all of the questions and decisions was helpful, knowledgeable, and aimed to please. Installation was smooth and he takes pride in making sure things are done right, are working properly, and that I was happy with the product and the work. Chris is wonderful to work with – we have had the windows in now for about 6 months and are extremely happy with the product. The quality is superior to your standard vinyl install, we sound proofed one side of the house due to neighbor noise (it works like a charm), and it is wonderful to have a fully functioning house of beautiful windows - that are consistent from original house to addition. I would highly recommend Chris and Sierra Pacific if you are considering a replacement for wood. Thank you Chris for all the work, for your partnership and guidance!"

"Delivery was delayed due to credit inquiry. After the concern was raised, shipment was rushed to us. Self installation didn't go as easy. Issue was resolved over the phone. The glass break sensor was a bit sensitive to loud noise such as cabinet door closing and door sensor repeatedly falls off and had to be reattached. Notification of alarm activation was fast and made to the right contact numbers. This prevented false alarm calls to the police."

"I found Starr Detail Inc. on Angie's List, called on 9/21 and spoke with Mark.  He quoted me a base price of $325 less $30 with the Angie's List coupon.  I agreed to an additional  $75 for application of teflon paint sealant and Mark said his staff would arrive at my home in Glendale between 8:00 and 8:30 AM on Friday 9/23.   When his detailers  had not arrived by 9:30 AM I left a voicemail for Mark who quickly returned my call, apologizing for not having called me earlier.  Mark said he had been distracted by his activities in moving out of his home into a new one, stated that his staff coming from Santa Clarita had been stuck in traffic but would be there soon.  Two young men arrived just before10AM and immediately went to work using their van's power washer and generator  They completed washing, waxing, buffing and adding teflon to my  motor home in  2 1/2 hours. They dressed the tires and cleaned the windows and outside mirrors.  They were friendly, totally professional, and did an outstanding job.  I paid the agreed upon amount by credit card.  I highly recommend and would definitely use Starr Detail again.
