"I contacted Toho Yin (Tyin Handyman Services) for an estimate on several handyman projects. He came the next afternoon to give us an estimate on several projects and offered to do some of the repairs while he was there. He quoted us an hourly rate and completed two repairs (repairing a wood front storm door which included re-doing the door handle/latch and replacing the closures) and also repairing a broken gate latch. He looked at another storm door that needed repair or replacement and new trim. He identified several issues he found with the existing storm door; suggested that a new door would be preferable and why; and pointed out the "problems" that would be entailed in repairing or replacing the door due to the location of our outside step railing too near the door frame. He was very frank about not wanting to quote a repair estimate because he could not estimate how much time would be involved if the railing had to be removed, etc. Toho arrived when he said he would; was very polite, very professional and very honest (which we greatly appreciated). We recommend him!"

"This is the second big project we've done with REO Service Pro. They finished our basement a few years ago. Both projects were done with quality and professionalism. Gary is very easy to work with. He listens and offers suggestions when needed or appropriate. I also used an interior designer with whom he worked with ease. We had an aggressive time frame for this project and it was met. Our two favorite things about working with Gary and his crew are 1) their quickness in responsiveness and 2) quality control. On multiple occasions I witnessed Gary instructing a crew member to "rip it out and start all over". In our experience with house projects, that is a rarity. "We could not be more pleased with the job done on our bathroom remodel project by Expert Handyman. Our main crew, William and Marco, are excellent craftsmen, very professional, and worked very hard. They started and finished the job on time. They were respectful of our property, and kept the work area clean. They kept us informed of any issues that arose, all of which were minor, and solicited our input to ensure we were happy with what they were doing. In particular, they "saved" the bathroom vanity that we had purchased separately from an online retailer and which was delivered damaged. After consulting with us, they offered to repair the damage, thereby enabling us to avoid the hassle and delay of returning and reordering. It looked perfect after they finished! On top of all their great work, they were also very patient with our aggressively friendly golden retriever puppy. The only minor---and very minor---hiccup with the project involved the final step, the installation of the shower doors (different crew than William and Marco). The crew did not show up on the day scheduled. After we inquired, the office manager followed up immediately and explained there had been a miscommunication with the crew. They came first thing the next morning and did a great job. They were also very apologetic. Again, a very minor issue and not a big deal at all, but we very much appreciate the responsiveness of the company and the immediate followup. In sum, all our contacts with the company were quite positive, from folks in the office, to the work crews, to the president of the company (who personally checked on the project twice to ensure all was on track and we were happy). These folks are top notch! It was our first experience with them, but it won't be the last. We will definitely use their services again, and we highly recommend them to anyone considering home improvement and general handyman projects."
