Small jobs welcome

Handyman with 30 years of DIY, renovation, repair, and remodel experience. I have fully renovated 3 houses, and built a 25-acre homestead from scratch including building cabins, decks, roads, barns, coops, water catchment, greenhouse, and gardens. I grew up on a farm and have a knack for understanding how mechanical things works. I have also assembled over 40 unique pieces of IKEA furniture for myself, family and friends, and love woodworking.\n\nI have the ability to do most home repair and improvement projects including: furniture assembly and repair, install or remove flooring, painting, baseboards, drywall repair, some appliance repair, replace outlets, install new lighting/fans, and toilets/faucet install.\n\nI have a truck and trailers to do demolition and junk hauling, garbage cleanup, landscaping, dirt work, tree trimming and pruning, small pressure washing jobs, and gutter cleaning.\n\nI will consider all jobs within 100 miles of metro Richmond.

"Dave was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive when I contacted him for an estimate. He gave me the estimate and we arranged a day/time to get the work done. He even texted me the evening before to confirm our appointment the next day. He and Ryan arrived on time and immediately got to work. They quickly removed the items that I had inside of the house and then proceeded to clean out the shed, after which Dave broom-swept it clean. They were both professional and courteous. It was a simple, smooth transaction - no drama. If I ever had the need for hauling services again in the future, I would definitely give Dave a call.

"We have used Sam and Sons Services several times and every time it has been great. They did kitchen electrical work including running a new line for our microwave. The moved and replaced 3 pot lights and patched some drywall. Sam also had to add now breakers and run new electrical lines. We are very pleased with the service."

"We used Mailbox Xpress in the summer of 2022, and I have been remiss in not submitting a review. Jimmy was very easy to work with, responsive and friendly but professional. He replaced our old rusty mailbox with both a new mailbox and wood post. Jimmy even took the metal numbers from our old mailbox, painted them, and placed them on the other side of our wood post at no charge. He was great to work with, and I highly recommend his services!"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Lusby, MD

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.

Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.

Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
