I’m a 65 year old man living in Washington Maine. I’ve been doing handyman installs and repairs for over 40 years. From installing new shades/blinds to full bathroom renovations (not a licensed plumber). Available in the Augusta/Rockland/Belfast areas of Midcoast Maine. I take great pride in what I do. Need a shelf hung? New furniture assembled? Minor painting? Hit me up and let’s see what I can do for you.

"This is the second project they have done for me recently. The first an emergency plumbing repair was so well done I hired them to upgrade the electrical system flaws in my 75 year old house. There were plenty of them. As usual they arrived right on time and worked through the entire day doing battle with brittle old wiring and repairing previous amateur attempts at various installs. At the end of the day all the old outlets and switches had been properly replaced, various dangerous conditions remedied and new boxes and receptacles added. Just exactly as I had requested. What a difference! I am so very happy to recommend these gentlemen. They are skilled in so many areas of home maintenance. My first choice for any problem is them!"

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.
Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.
Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
