"Rearranged his schedule to squeeze me in. Cleaned the a/c and found I was running way too low on refrigerant. Filled the line with a sealant to stop any small leak I may have had and topped off the system. House is an icebox once again. Friendly. Great attitude. Knew what he was doing. Would call again."

"An honest assessment of my unit. Very thorough in understanding the unit and possible issue. Works fast. Should give a solid fee for service call, not $40-50. But was happy to give him the $50. Also, was given no paperwork to detail what he found or did with measurements of heat and cold air?"

"Excellent service from beginning to end. I first called to request the service, I could not speak with any members, but they promptly returned my call, understood the request and made an appointment. The day of service, the technician arrived on time and explained the work to be done and eventually his findings. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also gave us tips on how to better maintain the system for improved performance. Overall, excellent service. We highly recommend then and we will definitely use them again"

"Excellent! Joe and his staff were friendly, helpful and timely. They maintained COVID protocols for me/my family’s safety and went above and beyond to repair some unexpected issues. I also found cost to be very reasonable. 10/10...Plan to use them in the summer for my HVAC duct cleaning!"

"If there are any other words to better describe EXCELLENT! INCREDIBLE! STUPENDOUS! I don't know them and I'm serious! Stephen was the most professional person from the first phone contact to completion and follow-through on the job. From phone to arrival to working the job and well beyond. This was a huge job with over 15 years of garage/cellar build up of "stuff" and appliances I didn't even know were there! (it's hard to describe - it was a mess of everything!) And the yard work was wonderful! I just can't believe it's done and so quickly and beautifully. It has enabled me to finally move on with important systems work in my cellar and garage. And beyond all that- I truly appreciate his knowledge and advise to a novice like myself as I asked for guidance with projects beyond this one. Thank you Angie's List and Mr. Stephen Michael!!!!!!!"

"It was a little bit confusing for me. I purchased this coupon and this company then charged me another hundred dollars on top of it. It was a little bit difficult for me to look through what I already paid for and what was extra but that wasn't very communicated. That was very confusing as well as not a very good experience. The fellow was friendly. It wasn't very clearly communicated what I had already purchased for with this coupon. They did some work on the ducts here but because of this, it kind of made it a little bit of bad experience but overall, it's an average rating. They should communicate better to me to begin with before they actually show up what was purchased and what additional services that I can buy."

"Marty was punctual and did a great job servicing my Central Air unit. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for HVAC or furnace service, or repairs."
Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
