"Great to work with. They were efficient and knowledgeable. They took care of the rebate for our heat pump. Only thing lacking was responsiveness to email/phone communication after the install was done. Heat pump system is working great."

"Kettle Moraine Heating and AC have been consistently great for servicing our HVAC systems. Their entire team from scheduling to service technicians have always been prompt with communications and highly professional. Special shout out to technicians Patrick and Eric for their great service! They explain what they’re doing, check the systems thoroughly and even indulge our senior dog with pats. Their pricing is fair, their responsiveness when I call is prompt, and the service is great. I highly recommend Kettle Moraine Heating and AC."

"When I called, because we were looking into a new furnace and air conditioner, Cardinal sent Rick out to check things out in our basement and outside. My husband wasn't here the first trip out so Rick came back to explain what our options were to both my husband and myself. He explained what qualified for tax credits and rebates and then any add ons for heating and cooling. He explained what a heat pump was and how it worked. Then he shared his experience with the product. It was so nice, he came over on a holiday weekend, never pressured us, or was impatient, just a down to earth guy who really wanted to give us the most information to make sure Cardinal would meet all of our needs. They definitely did. Two days later their installation crew arrived bright and early and were done by early afternoon. The house felt different immediately with the in home humidifier and April aire system installed. What a difference! Thank you Cardinal for that wonderful two fur deal!"

"Jacob from Southport came out for an on-site inspection of my furnace. He inspected the unit and ran a full set of tests for functionality. I received detailed answers to all my questions, and it was overall a great visit."

"We hired Hopper to replace a a 19 yo central AC system. They suggested a solution that saved was 14.3% less than ordering new system from the manufacter. And more importantly they had it installed 2 days later. Hooper is a well establised company that has earned its good reputation."

"Very good service. We had one small hiccup on scheduling, but no big deal. We had a big project: two outlets installed, new cabinet lights, new light fixture, all new smoke detectors, two new smoke/CO detectors, new doorbell, new 240V outlet in the garage, fixed two outlets that were improperly wired, new thermostat. They finished it all in about eight hours. Very pleasant to work with."

"Harker Heating And Cooling is the best HVAC contractor we have ever worked with in 40 years. Their web site proudly says they are an “honest company with Midwestern values.” That is absolutely true. Their representative provided in-depth advice, answered our questions. and returned our messages. Their techs were knowledgeable, professional, careful, and friendly. They were on time, on call, and on budget. The service they provided for us over the years could not be better. So when the time finally came to replace our old furnace and A/C we selected them. Unfortunately, they encountered many unexpected problems installing our new equipment. Many more than they had anticipated for the job. But their representative pledged to address every one of them no matter how hard it was for them or how much of their time it took. And that is exactly what they did. No quibbling and no questions. They got the job done right. If you want an honest family contractor who stands behind what they do, and lives by those Midwestern values, then this is the company to hire. You will be glad you did. FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Brooklyn, WI

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
