"We did not notify them that we had two furnaces to clean so we had to re-schedule when they arrived the first time. They were courteous about it and gave us a discount for the second unit."

"Their technician Hank was very knowledgeable and found the problem with our old furnace quickly. He pointed out and showed me the problems I had with my furnace. Hank and Brenden installed my new furnace quickly in just a few hours. Brenden was also very accommodating with the cost. Friendly and prompt service. I would recommend Ruddy Ducts and Maintenance to anyone who needs a new furnace, or repairs to their current heating system."

"First of all, it was too high of a price, and it froze up twice and they had to come back twice. I was not real happy, but it's working now. There was nothing I liked or disliked, it was just a brand new air conditioner and it froze up twice. When the heat hit, it was warm."

"Out of the three contractors I had come to my house, All Season's Heating and Cooling was straight forward with work that needed to be done. They gave me a reasonable price upfront with no hidden cost. They scheduled me in timely, and completed the install in one day. The employees were very professional and curtious. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need for heating and cooling issues. I have a federal pacific panel box, I didn't know the danger that could potentially happen with my current panel box. They informed me they also do other work electrical, plumbing. They'll be coming back to update my panel box. Grateful for their knowledge and informing me of the danger that my current panel box could cause"

"I was having a problem with MS Office not responding and other files being very, very slow to open. Jim started looking for the cause right away. He did numerous checks for viruses, malware, and various other things that can go wrong. He vigorously pursued a resolution pretty steadily for two days before determining it was a malfunctioning external backup system that was causing the problem. With that finding, he promptly got my computer running smoothly and very fast again. He made two trips to my house; on the first one, he had to cross a sheet of ice in my driveway. Jim is a very capable and experienced computer analyst that will get after your problem because he fully understands the importance of, and the need to have a working computer in the house.

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Conneaut, OH

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
