"Owner Matthew Conde responded immediately to Home Advisor entry: furnace stopped working on Halloween night, with asthma resident in the house. My (former) contractor was booked all weekend, but Matthew came within a few hours! He diagnosed furnace and found that fan motor was shot: presented option of replacing it or furnace itself. Since furnace was 18 years old, I went with new Carrier Infinity furnace which was installed 3 days later. Great relief, after 3 days of portable heaters! Matthew, Jason and Kenny (installers) were exceptionally professional, personable, experienced and knowledgeable. They explained everything to our satisfaction, including use of smart thermostat. After installers had left, we noticed that green light on air filter wouldn't come on. Matthew came over that evening, checked out furnace to his satisfaction, and found that there was no power to nearby outlet plug, After rewiring outlet, media air filter was working again! "Had a great experience with Kamal. He is helpful, knowledgable and very dependable. We had a crisis with our old hvac system and were freezing. Kamal was the only one who came within 2 hours on a holiday while others were available only the next day or later. Most were closed that day. I got a great deal on the new SEER16 hvac and have been happy with it. My electric bill has cut down to almost half. Also he offers 2 years of his company’s warranty in addition to the manufacturers 10 year warranty. Highly recommend Kamal and will be using him for future."

Upon returning from vacation on a 100 degree July day, I found my old HVAC system basically dead (90 degrees in my kitchen!) ... Shane immediately came out to provide an estimate, we signed a contract on the spot, and he kindly provided some freon to hold me over until the new system could be installed. "McCrea replaced a 20 year old HVAC system with a new Trane 4-ton XL16i condenser, XV80 furnace and new coils. The salesman, Mark, was very responsive to my request for quote changes or additional items, including financing options. He was very knowledgeable and patient through the entire process as I worked with other companies for competing quotes. As a result of Mark’s recommendations and excellent pricing, I added on a new Aprilaire 1210 filter box (including replacing a portion of the return duct work/box) and an Aprilaire 600M whole house humidifier. I was able to schedule install four days after signing the contract. The installers, Charles and Christian, arrived on time and removed the old and installed the new in about 7 hours. They provided an overview of system operation and cleaned up so well, you couldn’t tell that a significant installation had occurred. I would recommend McCrea, especially Mark, Charles, and Christian to anyone...they were professional and did an excellent job. My home is so much more comfortable with a system that will be better on the summer and winter utility bills."

"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement.
