"I wanted second opinion, so hired them to take a look. They retuned my call and were at our house within 40 minutes. They found the breaker to have been turned off, (no overload). The A/C has been running perfectly since. Very nice people and HONEST. We did not need new unit!"

"Overall good experience, workers were courteous and friendly. Unfortunately there was an issue the next day with one of my units and we had no heat. We have had two tech visits and it was determined we had a defective part in our brand new system. Over a week later we are still waiting on the part and still are without heat in that unit."

"Everything went smoothly for the installation and purchase of my whole home generator. I decided to go with Kohler because of the natural gas powered engine. The installation process took about 6 days, but there was clear communication the whole time from ATS. 10/10 recommend."

"We called JR HVAC Services to get a second opinion on our A/C unit not cooling. Brenton let me know when he was on the way to my house and also when he arrived. He was very respectful, which can be very rare nowadays, friendly, and knowledgeable. He looked at our A/C unit and found the problem and before he did anything, he went over what he found wrong with my husband and I and let us know how much it would cost before doing the work. Brenton was able to replace a part and get our unit cooling for less then $200 and the other company wanted to replace our unit and charge over $7000.00!! We are very pleased with this company and the service technician and the honesty."

"My air was not blowing as cold as I thought it should be so I called and
the owner Steve came out that day and checked everything for me and determined it was a very dirty filter. After he changed it out my air started working better that night. Steve was very nice and I did not have to wait long at all for him to come out. I will tell all my friends and family to use this company from now on since I had such a good experience."

"It went great DJ came over right away took a look at it and had it fixed in minutes. He even made sure my ac was cooling down before he left I highly recommend them. They are great people and actually take pride in what they do. I was in a tough spot waiting on unemployment and he worked with me so that me and my kids weren't burning up in this heat. Thanks again DJ."

"Ronald and his team did an awesome job! Very professional and always on time. This was a two part job so he had to work with my countertop installers and came through even when he was swamped after the ice storms we had. I will absolutely be using Wambo’s Waterworks again and my sink/faucet/dishwasher look amazing!"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Brighton, TN

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
