"The furnace in my rental property stopped working a week ago. Hired a contractor thru homeadvisor to take a look. Was told cracked heat exchanger and system needed replacing along with the outside AC unit. Got a quote from the contractor but decided to use homeadvisor again for more estimates. Air Temp came in with the most reasonable price. They replaced both furnace and AC unit in one afternoon. Tenant was really happy. I haven't checked AC yet. Would recommend nevertheless. They don't play game on estimate. They were very clean and professional. Great guys."

"It was a superb experience. From the visit by Bruce the sales representative to the installation day to the follow-up from Petro, every single person we interacted with was helpful and professional. When Bruce arrived to do the assessment, we spent time going over the heating needs in the house. After a thorough inspection and measurement of the house, we sat down. He showed me a few options, all of which were going to provide good service. I ordered a unit at the end of that meeting. The installation day was just terrific- the entire work crew that showed up were everything I would hope to find: Upbeat, informative, hard-working, focused. The job was finished before end of day as promised. The heater room is now immaculate, with new piping and a new heater. It was like watching a pit crew at a NASCAR race. Everyone had their tasks, they moved carefully but quickly. The materials were all laid out in order, etc. Just a totally professional approach to their work. The crew boss answered any questions I had. The follow-up for a normal inspection of the furnace chimney was scheduled the day after the installation. I’ve gotten calls to insure we are satisfied with the work. Satisfied barely covers it- I am pleased to write this kind of review. "Dave (Dawson Mechanical) is awesome. He is the only plumbing company I use. His knowledge is on another level and he runs a great company. It is easy to get an appointment and he responds right away. You can feel confident, if you have an emergency or non-emergency situation you that can get touch with him. In the past he installed a new boiler, furnace and converted us over to gas from oil heat. The work he and the guys did on the furnace/boiler is so good that other contractors comment on it. It really is a work of art - very neat. Most recently, he helped fix a bad plumbing job a contractor did during a bathroom model. The bottom of the toilet was flooding and the shower made a gurgling noise every time the toilet was flushed - it was an annoying odd problem. John came over during the covid pandemic, analyzed the situation and came up with a solution. He wore gloves, a mask and maintained space between us. I am very impressed with his expertise and the level of detail and attention he works with. However, I shouldn’t have been surprised based on how great of a company Dawson Mechanical is. He hires quality technicians. Lesson learned - dont let the contractor do plumbing work. I will definitely use Dawson Mechanical again."

"I urge everyone to take a look at their HVAC/furnace/boiler/ etc. and if you are staring at it, the way I was, screaming WHAT THE HECK, call Kyle. If you are Youtube how to splice wires to install that smart thermostat, stop it, call Kyle. Seriously, just call Kyle. You hear the horror stories, I called for what I thought was $X and the HVAC tech came and now I have a $200X invoice. That is not the case with Kyle. I have been there, do-it-yourself projects exist, but your heating and cooling is not one of them. Do not believe me, call around; then call Kyle, then call Kyle back because you realize he is available, upfront, and transparent. That is what I did. Kyle helped me demystify my heating and cooling system. Now I stare at my HVAC system, knowing what is what, and how I can quickly troubleshoot it and maintain it. What surprised me the most, this is not what Kyle was required to do. He came to help us with something unrelated. Nevertheless, he stayed late, and answered all the questions my wife and I had; we had a lot. It felt like we had a friend over the entire time. Sure enough, that's how it felt when he left. In conclusion, thank you Kyle for being genuinely you; kind, courteous, and professional. Whether you need a repair or want to prevent one down the road, get with Kyle and learn the ins and outs of how to optimize your home's heating and cooling. Schools in session. Thanks again! P.S. "They installed AC in our 1923 house back in 2006 and our AC bills are lower than our heat! Excellent courteous clean work. This past spring the fan motor for this system died and because of it’s design was an expensive repair but again the work was done fast and clean. Highly recommended!"

"Despite numerous visits, they were NEVER able to get heat to all parts of the house after the installation of a new natural gas boiler in September. This boiler replaced an inefficient 30-year-old oil fired boiler, which had to be replaced as it could no longer be repaired. I had no idea how good that oil boiler was!! Specifically, the radiator in one room never gets hot enough long enough to heat that room, and other radiators were slow to heat up. Company said that the lack of insulation in part of the house was the cause for one room not getting heat; however, the old inefficient oil boiler was able to provide heat to this room and the rest of the house (& more quickly too). Even on a warm day, heat is not provided to this room, so I don’t this insulation is the real issue. They said oil provides a more intense heat, but if this were true, why would anyone make the switch? For $9000+ the boiler should heat the entire house and they even charged us an additional $700 to balance and replace steam vents, which had NO effect on the heating system, and we continue to have very little heat in that one bedroom (we are now using a space heater). I will now have to hire another company to have the boiler evaluated, as I believe it is under-sized for the house. Although everyone was very pleasant, I would NOT recommend hiring this company."

"I would highly rate the company. My furnace was working, so I hired another company to diagnose it. The service person came and removed the motor. He stated that the motor needs to be replaced and will cost me $1500 to do so. Since my furnace is old, it is better I replace it and will cost me $5000 for a new furnace. He charged me $170 for coming and left the motor outside the furnace stating since it is not working, there is no point putting it back. So, I called 5-6 other companies for a quote and everybody gave me the same ball park number. I had got a promotional offer from Advanced Professional, so I wanted to give them a try. From the very first call, Advanced Professional was truly professional. Valentina was extremely courteous, responsive and knowledgeable. Joey was the technician that came over. He tested the motor and stated that there is nothing wrong with it. It is the capacitor that is not working. He replaced the capacitor and placed the motor back to the furnace and my furnace was working. It is now a week since I called Advanced Professional and I am very happy with their services. I gave a C to Punctuality. But now I can understand why they are in so much demand. I have saved their number and would definitely call them again if I need to."

"MDL Electric was a great Angie's List find! My tenant's washer stopped working in the middle of a load. I also needed to have 2 breakers and 6 GFI outlets replaced. Spoke to Miguel at 1:30 this afternoon. He was able to get a technician over there in about 30 minutes. He explained all that needed to be done and, less than 3 hours later, the work was finished and everything was left neat and clean! Very prompt and professional. Now THAT’s customer service!
