It took awhile to sort out. Atlas Home Energy Solutions gave me lots of expert advice. They were willing to come out and review the situation. They were also willing to reschedule and wait until another contractor dealt with the water issue and its ensuing problems. They helped me make some difficult decisions before they could insulate the crawl space. When it was ready for them to come and insulate the area they bumped their schedule forward to get it done. This company did sterling work. Their expertise and professionalism were outstanding. They really know what they are doing and guided me through a more protracted process than originally envisioned. "This crew was very professional in regards to the installation of my blown -in insulation and their interactions with me, but the mud work they did to repair my walls was sloppy. There were large drips of drywall mud on my furniture, on my sinks, on the floors, on the baseboard trim (especially), and splattered on the walls. In addition, the tape they used to hold up the plastic barrier tore the paint off of my ceilings and adjacent walls which now need to be repaired and repainted. They did repair some of the places on the ceiling and the walls, but they still need to be repainted."

"We are very satisfied with the completed project. The workers were skilled and easy to communicate with, and patient with changes and delays caused by us as the project developed. It was necessary to raise the floor level of the porch a couple of inches to match the indoor floor level, and to adjust for the slight slope in the porch floor. That was done expertly and the finished hardwood floor is perfect in both areas. The sunroom is great and much more functional than a screened porch in Washington’s climate. The insulated glass does an excellent job of keeping both hot and cold out. The original ceiling was kept (our preference), and they added insulation above it. On the down side, better and more complete drawings of the kitchen plan would have been helpful to avoid some minor misunderstandings, delay, and changes. Remodel USA does not have a showroom, and it took some time to receive cabinet samples. We were left on our own to find a place to see the cabinet hardware from the catalog that we were asked to choose from. The tile distributor they work with (Sita Tile) has a good showroom and selection. Some of the drywall finishing was less than satisfactory and painting is specifically excluded in the standard contract, but these were both easy enough to take care of afterward. Flexible ducting rather than the recommended rigid pipe was used to connect the exhaust fan to the original exhaust location, even after mentioning this when seeing the flexible duct package on the floor. I can't give a rating for punctuality, because we had the luxury of not needing the work to be completed quickly. The project was a bit delayed in starting, but then once started it went well, not counting some delays that were caused by us while we made final material choices."

He personally measured, cut and installed the drywall, baseboard and garage insulation strip. He painted everything, blending the paint well with the existing drywall.
