My car was in the garage and unavailable because the loose cables were tangled in the rollers and the door wouldn't move. My wife was in the hospital with a serious medical condition and I couldn't wait to find another vendor the next day in case I needed the car; therefore, I agreed to the installation of two torsion springs for $799 plus tax. I have since learned that torsion springs are available at retail for considerably less than $100 each. Consequently, $600+ for profit and labor, even on an "emergency" basis, is clearly excessive. Initially, the technician installed the wrong springs and had to replace them. In the end, the door works just fine and I can only hope that the quality of the springs will help to justify the cost. I did appreciate the rapid response to my "emergency" despite the cost.."
