Absolute Painting's unique origin story is one of a lifelong friendship. The company founders, Gregory Collins and Michael Balding became friends in the third grade. Since then, they have remained best friends. They started working in the painting industry together right out of high school. In 2008, at the height of the housing crisis and Great Recession, they formed Absolute Painting with a used van and hand-me-down tools.

He came over provided me with quote a few days later decided on him and he was out the next day to do power washing. My house had not been painted in 30 years. So the power washing revealed issues of rot and other things not found in the first estimate. He worked with me to find a solution. For instance I had rot along the bottom. This would cost a lot to remove trim and replace all the panel siding. He came up with the solution of a skirt that covered the problem and actually looks good. He and is crew were quick about it and got the job done in 3 days. I liked him so much I have hired him to fix and repair and outside shed."
