"Tracy Lennon Painting did an awesome job transforming our home. Dakota and crew use quality materials and paint, repaired cracks prior to applying the paint and made our home look 10 years younger. Dakota and crew were very professional, showed up early for work daily, worked hard and fast, and cleaned up work area. Tracy Lennon, the owner provided a fair estimate and competitive pricing, came for visual inspection and got us on calendar the next day! We are very happy with the results and plan on calling them again when it's time to paint the inside of our home. Highly recommended!"

"I have been using Flexing Painting for years, Bayardo is the best business man to work with. Great communicator, super honest and professional, he and his team work is always excellent. He is very responsible and reliable, I always trust him and his team to get work done. You will not disappointed to hire Flex paintings to do any kind of home improvement project."
Before pictures
(Before Pic)Home was pressure washed with a 3000 psi machine to remove as much dirt and grime from the exterior house wall surfaces before painting. We sanded all the bad areas and spot primed them before painting. Used caulking to seal any open grooves and open wood joints as needed.
(Before l) This photo shows the condition of the cabinet before it was refinished. You can see the stain is faded and clear coat is chipping away from water damage and moisture in the air.
Exterior Repaint
Prepped the door for painting. Sanded it then primed it. Removed the door handle and carefully covered the hinges before spray painting the door.

"Very easy to work with. I'd used them before but this time I got estimates from other contractors and was amazed how much more reasonable Cal Preserving was. The difference may be that the others pointed to additional steps that could be taken. Did Cal Preserving "miss" these things or recognize they weren't necessary--I'm inclined to believe the latter."

Small jobs welcome

"I highly recommend Miguelâ s Professional Painting for all your painting needs. The owner of the company, Miguel, was an absolute pleasure to work with. He worked with me on a tight deadline and around my schedule to prepare my home before move-in day. He was polite, positive, punctual, and hard-working. I found his pricing to be very reasonable. In terms of quality of work, Miguel is a perfectionist. In addition to his knowledge and experience, he does precision work. His job is immaculate and he is extremely organized in his method and with his equipment. Everything from start to finish was kept clean and tidy. Even during cleanup, Miguel took great care to leave my home spotless. Miguel is a true professional who operates with integrity. His goal is to please his client and he goes above and beyond to achieve the desired result for his client. I will most definitely use him again for my future painting needs and recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional professional paint job!"

FAQs for painting projects in Bethel Island, CA

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
