"The staff did an excellent job priming and oaint our first floor. The drywall work was terrific and created a great base for the painting. I love the blue they painted our kitchen. We will use their services again."

"Incredible job done by Sergio and his crew. We needed our kitchen cabinets painted and they got it done in 2 days! The guys were professional and proficient. They literally got every spot, and then went back over and to see if they missed anything. These guys are affordable and well worth their price. Definitely will be using them again when painting my house!!"

"I am pleased to tell all that we hired Michael Vessey to paint the home we had just purchased. It was a blank canvas at 3 years old with only builder grade white. The house became a home with all ceilings getting a super white. The walls in each room received its own color and a house became our home! Michael and his team are great! On time and on budget…..!"
These three pillars were fun to paint. We painted the white trim boxes as well as the gray.

"DnB was good with a complicated job here of using 5 different paint colors and 2 different stain colors all in close quarters, along with three or four areas of drywall that were a mess from prior contractor. Also they met their timing commitment to the very day that they promised arrival (two months prior)."

"They power washed brick and also aluminum siding for us, applied a sealer to the brick and painted the aluminum siding. We are very pleased with the service and the work. No more mold or white chalking on the brick and our siding looks new."

"We have hired Bill and his crew for numerous jobs. He has painted our home, installed metal roofs and installed new gutters on our house and garage. Bill is responsive when you call. He and his crew are friendly and hardworking. They get the job done quickly and efficiently. Bill answers questions and gives good advice when needed. His prices are very reasonable. We enjoy having him at our home and would highly recommend his company to anyone looking to have work done."

Small jobs welcome

"We first hired William Braun General Contracting to fix our roof and part of our siding. He did an excellent job. We’ve used him for four other projects over the past three years including deck repair and staining, and exterior and interior painting. He explains well what needs to be done, does exceptional work and does it at a fair price. We highly recommend him. We’ll definitely keep using him in the future."

FAQs for painting projects in Denver, PA

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
