"Luis was very professional, extremely prompt, and made me feel comfortable during the process by explaining each option thoroughly, designing a rendering of the finished look, and staying in communication. I was very happy with the results of the exterior painting that was done on my house. I highly recommend working with him and plan to do so in the future for other projects. He was easy to work with, friendly, responsive, efficient, and did a beautiful job."

"Luis came out to fix some closet shelving that was badly installed by the builders of our home. He did a great job replacing the synthetic wood, replacing the supports, and painting to ensure it looked good as new. Very happy with the work and fair pricing."

"Gus and his crew of painters, Arturo, Marisol and Gabriel, are second to none. Not only did they do an outstanding job with the painting and cabinetry, but they moved everything room by room and put everything back EXACTLY how it was placed originally. They made the experience very livable. We are having carpeting installed soon and will have GG Remodeling handle that job as well."

"Ok. I stepped through the ceiling when the AC unit in the attic leaked. Who knew it would take forever to find a competent , FAIR professional to come to a rural town to fix a small problem? ACE Drywall and Acoustics responded to my search on Home Advisor immediately, even though it was a weekend. I sent ALEX pictures of my damaged areas (the leak stained two ceilings) and he offered a bid. ACE scheduled me immediately and the rest is history. Alex was exceptional. He stayed in contact, arrived promptly and wasted no time. A personable, proud professional, he explained each step of the process and answered every question we had. Alex volunteered to match and buy paint. Who does that? The paint matched perfectly!!! Even more impressive was his texturing. It was absolutely spot on!I could not have asked for anything more from Alex or the company. Fair pricing, professional in every way, polite, skilled, smart and determined to do the job right, Alex at ACE Drywall is the man to call."

"Chris with AAA went beyond the scope of work. Not only did he fix the issues that I knew about he recalked and painted my chimney cleaned and installed leaf screens on the gutters that needed it, and his price was better then some roofers that were going to do the bare minimum,"

"I had searched around for along time to find any roofing company that would repair my metal roof. Everyone either never called back or turned down the work. The people at Salvador roofing came and did an outstanding job fixing my roof. They replaced every screw with better screws than I had, put in much better vent pipe boots (this is where my roof leaks were coming from), cut the overhanging tree branches (this was causing the screws to coming out. During a heavy storm, the tree branches would beat on the roof loosing up the screws), and cleaned the roof. I was surprised they did all this work in one day. I am certainly going to contact them when I replace my siding and get the house painted"

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
