"These guys are great! I have a few cabinet doors that needed to be painted to finish up a kitchen cabinet refacing project we started before we moved into our condo. We reached out to multiple people to get a quote for painting just a few cabinet doors. We were on a budget, and I didn't think we'd be able to get the work done until we could save up more, but these guys are so nice that they offered to work with us on our budget - it truly felt like a Christmas miracle (I may have teared up, it was so kind)! They did a great job painting the cabinets and turned them around in just a couple of days, even though I told them they could take their time. In the future, we hope to repaint all the walls in our home, and I will reach out to Color Cat Painting when the time comes!"

"I recently had to have my house painted. I have lived in the house since 2011 when it was built. The paint used by the builder hasnâ t held up very well. I went on a search for a painter that wasnâ t going to rob the bank but do a better job and that would last longer than the current paint job. I got several bids and of course most of them wanted to start right away without any research from me. I finally found Dan on home advisor. I sent him a request he called and came out to my home. I explained that I wasnâ t in a hurry but i wanted a good job and the wanted the paint to last longer than the current paint. Dan is a laid back kind of guy just wanting to do the job and make sure your happy with the outcome. I knew the base color I wanted but had not picked out the trim yet. Dan gave me a day or two then contacted me to see how i was doing. I hadnâ t pick out the color yet but was going to do it over the weekend. He was okay and said let me know. I had another bid come in while i was finding trim colors and that really sealed the deal. Dan was my painter. I found the colors i wanted got the samples from the local store then looked up the paint on consumers reports. Not knowing too much about paint i called the store and asked about the consumer reports findings. I picked a higher priced paint then what was offered and dan had no problem using the paint i wanted. Same brand just a higher quality. The difference in price was minimal and worth it to me. Dan only charged me what he had to pay for the higher cost of the paint. The bid had already been agreed upon at this point. Dan would always let me know when he would be showing up to work. He was able to start and stop without any direction from me. I kept telling him I wasnâ t in a hurry I just wanted it done correctly. My wife and i walked the house several times and Dan was always there to touch up anything we found. I think i saw him go around the house several times just looking for any touch ups. The paint job is complete and we both love it. I would recommend Dan for any paint needs you have. When i get ready for more paint i will be calling him."

"I was very pleased with the exterior painting service. The painting crew arrived timely each day, worked steadily, and cleaned up behind themselves at the end of each day. The few â glitchesâ I noted at the end of the project were quickly and professionally remedied. Sonny, the carpenter who took care of some needed repairs, was a joy to work with. The house looks great!!"

"I have used this Roofing on two different family projects. One was the complete roof retiling of a standard size family home and the most recent project, was for the repair and laying of new roof sheets on the back sun room. Each time I found them to be helpful, co-operative and very professional. On our recent project, Pete was our first point of contact who made the whole experience stress free and quick. Ari and Elijah helped in choosing the materials, right down to the colour and then completing the job in only two days."

FAQs for painting projects in Enumclaw, WA

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
