"Mr Edes did a couple odd jobs, he was very professional, reasonable priced for the jobs he did. His attention to detail is unreal. I highly recommend him. He painted my kitchen, and cleaned up and put back everything. Outside he tore down an old deck and built me a new set of stairs. Not even a nail left behind."

Small jobs welcome

"Did a great job. Built mailbox stand with an excellent custom flair. Built for strength. Texted and came right away. The message transition to know who was talking to me was confusing at first. DP was also not sure who it was initially."

"Outstanding job by Pete and his crew. Prep work was thoughtful and complete, making the painting easier to do. They explained everything they were going to do. Will have them back next year to do more work"

"Andy did an excellent job of cleaning 20 years of bottom paint off the bottom of my 21 foot fiberglass boat. Paint was removed to the boot stripe and there was no damage to the glass. The work was completed in my yard which was left clean with no residue. Great job"

"In summary I have to say Richard was  excellent!  He came when he said he would and finished the work when he said it would be finished.  As I solicited multiple bids for the work NE Renovations was among the most competitive.  As the work was completed I was so pleased I ended requesting he come back to do additional jobs.  He was very accomadating and even explained various options on how best to accomplish the additional work.

FAQs for painting projects in Lincoln, ME

You’ll need 1 gallon of paint per 350 square feet of coverage. Typical amounts per room size:

  • Small room (200-400 sq. ft.): 1 gallon.

  • Medium-sized (400-800 sq. ft.): 2-4 gallons.

  • Large (800-1,200 sq. ft.): 5-gallons or more.

Painters usually make $20 per hour on average or about $40,000 per year. Independent contractors might pocket a little more. However, they must charge for overhead, such as vehicles, equipment, insurance, marketing and association dues.

Specialty painting, like murals and trompe l’oeil, costs $40 to $50 per hour. Paint might range between $75 to $90. The professional’s skill and experience are also determining factors. While a freelance artist might charge $25 to $30 an hour, a very skilled professional might charge $80 or more. Some might also charge $60 or more for a consultation.

Trompe l'oeil creates a realistic image or optical illusion in three dimensions. Murals are composed on a wall of any size. These two projects vary in price, with a trompe l'oeil typically costing more because of its complexity. Both are considered specialty projects.
