"Maria and Raul are very professional. My husband and I wanted remodel/update our house to sell. We told them what we wanted and they delivered; drywall, cabinet installation, paint, crown molding, flooring installation, etc. They are very knowledgable in what they do and they have great connections with other businesses. We will definitely hire them again."

"Great painting job. Even returned when the ceiling paint did not match. Mr. Joseph come back and repainted the ceiling in 2 rooms. Only complaint was they were a little messy and left paint on some of the floors."

"I hired them in a pinch about five months ago to paint our rental (nearly 80% of walls and 100% of trim) that a tenant moved out of, along with refurbishing the flower bed, and pressure washing part of the driveway and some bricks. I guessed it would take three guys about 3 days, and they were busy at the time so I would likely have to wait a little while for them to get there. I spoke with Jacob and explained the situation. He said if I can get the paint, the flower bed rock and mulch, and make sure there is running water for the pressure washer, he will be by the next morning to knock it out. Sure enough he showed up the next morning with a helper, and had the walls and trim painted, the driveway pressure washed, and flower bed refurbished. In ONE day. Whatâ  s even crazier is the work was beautiful. The paint looked amazing, and they were very clean about being in and out, and managed to get back to his other crews in time that nobody even noticed he was gone! Personally I donâ  t know how he did it, and donâ  t care. He knew what he offered and didnâ  t beat around the bush. I found it was beyond easy to work with him, and he really did just have an energy about the whole thing that he was just doing what he does and Iâ  m paying him to do it, no BS sales tactics or bartering. Just good honest work. Highly recommend. Big or small, you will get quality work and careful planning. Thanks again guys. Canâ  t wait to work with you again!"

"This was a rental house which the tenants were waiting to move in. The paint job was sloppy with wall paint on trim , small missed areas, inadequate coverage of closet shelves, and used a dirty tarp, spilling dirt from a previous job on the freshly steam cleaned carpets. Not to mention a small dab of paint on the carpet.

I gave the owner of the company 3 chances to rectify, but never completely would resolve issues. This caused  much inconvenience for me, my wife and our tenants.

FAQs for painting projects in Mermentau, LA

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
