"The team was very professional and worked with me on price to ensure that I had a good quality product and what I needed was complete. They removed face plates outlet covers the fridge, the oven and the washing machine machines to ensure all the walls were painted correctly. The house was about 1800 square feet and they used a quality paint to get it done. I will use this company again if I need anything else done on my house."

"I needed the exterior of my house painted and needed it done soon. I contacted and received quotes from two other well-known painting companies and really was not happy with their estimate quotes. I saw Wildcat Painting Company, LLC as an area company and contacted them for an estimate. They not only came in with a lower bid but even after a couple of â no pressureâ recommendations from the job foreman they were still the best price. Alex was exceptionally good about working with me on this project and very respectful of me and my requests. The foreman and crew that painted my house were all very respectful of me, my time, and my property. No trash or messes were left behind, and I even had a hard time seeing where they had cleaned up. THE PLACE LOOKS GREAT!! And finished in, what I consider, record time. I am so glad I went with Wildcat Painting Company and will use them again should it be needed. I would and will recommend Wildcat Painting Company to others for their painting projects. Thanks Alex and crew!!"

"Absolutely Fabulous, we are so happy with the finished result. From the first meeting with the Estimator, corresponding with the office staff, and finally with the crew themselves, we couldn't have had a better experience. Alfred, Jose, & Ricki were always on time, got started right away. They were very respectful of our home and possessions. They left our home spotless, they removed all debris, nothing was left for us to take care of. Over the years many pictures, painting, etc were mounted on the walls, leaving many holes. The crew patched them all, and you can't tell were they were at. We are looking to paint the exterior of our home next year and will be calling AZ Painting of Tucson to do the job. I hope we can get the same crew again. I would highly recommend AZ Painting of Tucson to anyone considering hiring a painting company."

"I was really impressed with Steve and his crew on the work they did on painting the exterior of my smooth stucco house. Steve is very professional and honest, the price he quoted me was very reasonable and the work was excellent. Jerry, Steveâ s right hand man, is the best! Jerry was always working full speed and always showed attention to detail on all his work. I will highly recommend Victory Painting!"

FAQs for painting projects in Mount Lemmon, AZ

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
