In my teenage years I would do carpentry and demo work during the summers. Most recently I gutted and remodeled my first two homes.

"Hudson painting is a true professional. Nathan is a veteran who learned his craft working for his father as a young man. After his return from serving his country he picked up his craft once again. A job well done from start to finish. You can count on his word and starting a job on time thru completion. Five Star Job"

"We are very happy with the job Alan did on our whole house. The paint looks great and the ceilings are wonderful! Alan was very detailed and worked very hard to keep our house as clean as possible through the process. He did a great job organizing the project so we could remain in the house while work was done. We will definitely use his services again."

"This was more than deep-cleaning our condo! It was done thoroughly & professionally. They also cleaned my deck and it looks nearly new. They assembled two cabinets for me and installed a bidet. They cleaned the entrance to my condo & disposed of trash and boxes which would have been difficult for me. They will be back to do interior painting. They were professional, kind, enthusiastic, thorough, and they stayed until the work was done well. They were honest and upfront with what they can do (which is just about anything!), the cost (very affordable for me), and scheduling. I highly recommend them for whatever job you need done."

You’ll need 1 gallon of paint per 350 square feet of coverage. Typical amounts per room size:
Small room (200-400 sq. ft.): 1 gallon.
Medium-sized (400-800 sq. ft.): 2-4 gallons.
Large (800-1,200 sq. ft.): 5-gallons or more.
Painters usually make $20 per hour on average or about $40,000 per year. Independent contractors might pocket a little more. However, they must charge for overhead, such as vehicles, equipment, insurance, marketing and association dues.
Specialty painting, like murals and trompe l’oeil, costs $40 to $50 per hour. Paint might range between $75 to $90. The professional’s skill and experience are also determining factors. While a freelance artist might charge $25 to $30 an hour, a very skilled professional might charge $80 or more. Some might also charge $60 or more for a consultation.
Trompe l'oeil creates a realistic image or optical illusion in three dimensions. Murals are composed on a wall of any size. These two projects vary in price, with a trompe l'oeil typically costing more because of its complexity. Both are considered specialty projects.
