"My sisters and I hired Mike while working to prepare our father's home for sale. Our father had recently moved to an assisted living facility and our goal was to have the house ready to sell as soon as possible. I found Mike on Angie's List and I am SO glad I did! We hired Mike to repair and replace tile in two bathrooms. But, we quickly learned that Mike's skills extend far beyond complex tile work. As the renovations continued, Mike did a variety of jobs for us including painting, plumbing and woodworking, Mike is extremely easy to work with, flexible, and a terrific problem-solver. Our dad's home is about 35 years old and presented us with a variety of unique challenges. Mike was our savior, offering solutions. and going way above and beyond what we asked of him many times. Don't let his company name fool you - Mike knows a great deal about many aspects of home repair and renovation. He is flexible and great with timelines. Since my sisters and I do not live in the area, Mike became our eyes and ears at our dad's house as a variety of repair people arrived to do their work. He is trustworthy, kind, and reasonably priced. I hope you can see from this review that we cannot recommend Mike Lipiner highly enough!"

There were a few hiccups with scheduling, but the team was efficient, tidy, and true to their word about the length of the job. "We recently quoted out the painting of our front hallway (includes vaulted ceiling) to 4 different vendors. We chose Perfect Painters because they offered the same level of service (and paint quality) as the other three, but were the most competitively priced (two of the other vendors over-quoted us for a very straightforward project - walls were in great shape: it was just a refresh paint job on the upper walls above the chair rails and molding. One was $1,100 more expensive than Perfect Painters!). When I told these vendors that they had lost the bid due to pricing, both suggested that they were "very comfortable" with the prices they quoted us and suggested that we might be getting a lower quality job from Perfect Painters. I can assure you that was not the case - the team arrived on time and quickly got to work covering the area in tape and plastic. The team of three expanded to 4 or 5 in the afternoon to complete the job in about 6 hours (2 coats on walls, ceiling and crown molding). They did an excellent job and left the space as they found it. I have no hesitation in recommending them and will use them again for my next painting job. Beware of other vendors out there who will jack up the price and try to justify it by suggesting that the job is complicated by elevation (the ceiling is about 19 feet high at the highest point - its called a ladder!, or the fact that they have to tape the banister!) Next time, I won't waste my time and simply have Perfect Painters do the job for me. They are honest and straightforward and the crew who did the job were very friendly and efficient."

I met at the house with Bob, who is very professional and pleasant, as we discussed the work and schedule. The painters arrived as expected and were prompt, courteous and professional. The result far exceeded my expectation. Marathon transformed my house into a real gem. Bob and the painter returned to check the work and make sure I was pleased with the job. "The painters on job performed very well. Owners never showed up on job. When we told them that the 2 steps had not been power washed - no one spoke English so they stained right over the non-prepared steps. We signed contract and paid the price and as understood, paid for paint and supplies. The PROBLEM IS THAT THEY OVERPRICED THE JOB. For the approximately 56 hours of work they ended up charging us $160 per hour per person! We believe every company should make a profit but this is ridiculous. We tried to talk with them, but they did not call back . WARNING- get an estimate of hours and the price so you know what you are paying for."
