"The paint crew worked for four days. They arrived on time each day and worked full days except for lunch. Very satisfied with the work product and a reasonable price. I plan to hire them again to paint the upstairs bedrooms and baths."

"Marcos and company had unforeseen challenges with our 2001 water front home. Some minor repairs turned into major repairs due to water intrusion. They had to spend a full day removing the water damaged wood framing and another full day of carpentry work to restore the weight bearing damaged wood before they could complete the exterior caulking and painting. They were fantastic to accomplish the extra and unexpected repairs with quality and with a very reasonable price as well. Many painters would have either walked away from the job or would have left us to hire a framing crew to do the repairs. But Marcos his team got it done.((They did a few extra thing like power washing the driveway and painting more items than was originally planned with the purpose of making our bay front property look brand new. They performed beyond our expectations. This was the second time we use M & G Painting. The first time was to re-do an inferior interior paint job done by a different company. I do not think you can go wrong with using M&G Paint Contractors. Signed- Dale Lonsford, La. Porte, TX"

Customers say: Super punctual

"Steve arrived promptly at the agreed upon time to give us an estimate. He kept in touch with us throughout the entire process via phone calls or text messages. He was thorough and really knows the business (for interior home painting) He uses quality paint, and paints 2 coats. He gave us a written quote. We got bids from a few others and chose to hire Turner Enterprises. A paint crew was quickly scheduled. They showed up on time (actually arrived several minutes early.) Salvador and Jasmine were great. Very professional. They did an outstanding job. They really went the extra mile. The place looks amazing. Would hire again without any hesitation. SO glad I went with professionals. Whoever had painted it before, did a horrible job. Salvador and Jasmine corrected the previous mistakes and sloppy work, and made it look like new."

"We had to do a siding repair because of a plumbing leak . Bob came out and did the bid the job in the pouring rain. He gave us a very competitive bid right away with no game playing. We are extremely cost conscious so every penny counts. His crew came out and was scheduled to take 6-8 hours to do siding and painting but with the crew boss Rolando's great communication and oversight they had it all buttoned up like nothing had ever happened in under 5 hours. They even spent the last 30 minutes cleaning up the work area and triple checking to make sure all nails had been collected out of the driveway. I was impressed! I will certainly recommend Turnkey Painting Plus to my friends and neighbors."

FAQs for painting projects in Webster, TX

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.

Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.

Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.

You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.

Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.

Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
