"Jack’s Evergreen Painting is a first class organization and I highly recommend them! They removed wallpaper, sanded walls, primed, and painted two coats of paint in one bedroom. Then they painted another bedroom. They were quick, neat, accurate, and reasonably priced. What a pleasure to hire such a first class company. I was so satisfied that I have hired them to stain my house this summer."

"I had my house exterior painted. Nothing unusual, a basic one story home. Jerry had very competitive rates to get the job done, were very prompt in replying to any questions I had. His guys were very efficient in prepping the area and then getting all the painting done. Every spec of surface to be painted was covered and it's been a few months since the job was done and all the paint is holding on like new. Absolutely no complaints and I'd highly recommend!"

Customers say: Quality work
"Roman and his brother stripped wallpaper in a stairwell and then prepared it for painting. They sanded, made the stairwell look brand new, and painted. They also painted my dining room. Their work is outstanding. Their work ethic is a throw back to a more sane. world. Iâ m very pleased with their work. They will be painting the outside of my home this summer. Roman was able to get colors that I sent him. Iâ m confident that the paint job will be the best one this old house has had. If you need a paint job done, do not hesitate to contact Roman. Ten stars for excellence"

Best of all, his pricing was very reasonable for the quality delivered. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent painting work at an affordable price."

"I had previously had Hedlund Painting replace and paint drywall on my ceiling that was damaged by a leak. They did a great job, but I found that when a particular light was on in the evening one of the seams was visible. Without a question or a charge they reworked the seam so that it can no longer be seen. Outstanding customer service!"

"PacificPro Painting did a great job. We had attempted to paint ourselves and it did not turn out the way we liked. Vadim’s team was on time, professional, kind, and finished our project for us quickly. I was so thankful for his team. We even had a section of our home improvement project that was not complete and they said as soon as it’s finished, they would come back to make the rest match. Painting is hard."

"We bought our first house and were looking for an interior repaint. That being said, I didn't know much about paint. Vadim, with YOUR PAINTING EXPERT, couldn't have been more helpful! I spoke with several larger companies, and Vadim took the time to educate us about all the different types of products and options that we have available for the project. He also reassured us of the importance of preparing the surfaces for a quality finish product. We are glad that we chose to hire YOUR PAINTING Expert."

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
