"It went great! Noreen’s performed professionally and flawlessly each day until the interior painting was complete. This paint job included prepping and spraying custom interior Millwork trims, as well as ceiling and wall painting. The cut lines were razor sharp. They cleaned up well and even took the Ram Board that was on the floor before they started. This was phase one and they are coming back for phase two."

"Jack’s Evergreen Painting is a first class organization and I highly recommend them! They removed wallpaper, sanded walls, primed, and painted two coats of paint in one bedroom. Then they painted another bedroom. They were quick, neat, accurate, and reasonably priced. What a pleasure to hire such a first class company. I was so satisfied that I have hired them to stain my house this summer."

"I had my house exterior painted. Nothing unusual, a basic one story home. Jerry had very competitive rates to get the job done, were very prompt in replying to any questions I had. His guys were very efficient in prepping the area and then getting all the painting done. Every spec of surface to be painted was covered and it's been a few months since the job was done and all the paint is holding on like new. Absolutely no complaints and I'd highly recommend!"

"We hired Pinehurst painting to prep and paint the exterior of our home. They easily went above and beyond what we expected. Their bid for the job was fair and reasonable, they were very accommodating to our schedule in starting and completing the job as well as keeping disruptions to our daily schedules to a minimum. The prep work they did was truly exceptional as was the actual painting. Our 30 year old house looks like new! During the entire process, the entire crew was a pleasure to deal with. We plan on using Pinehurst painting for future interior painting projects. We highly recommend Pinehurst for any painting projects you may have."

"Vadim & Slavic devoted considerable unpaid time communicating expectations before starting work. We knew what to expect, and nothing went over budget. That's rare. Their balance of professionalism, courtesy and initiative was ideal. Not pushy, not too soft either. Just right. The subcontracted pressure washing prep team was equally courteous and detail-oriented. If you're staining a cedar deck, preparation is everything, and nothing was missed by the cleaning/prep team. Alex and Max did a beautiful job both painting deck railings and applying stain evenly to our perfectly prepped deck. Our property was protected from stray paint splatter because the taping job was perfect. No mess was left for us to clean up. In short, an A+ job. Highly recommended!"

"I highly recommend Olympic Painting. They painted the entire inside of our house plus kitchen cabinets (island and drawers/doors). They were timely, highly responsive and communicative, and the price was exactly what they quoted. Their craftmanship was first-rate, and their two painters were both extremely detailed and friendly. You will be extremely happy with their work!"

Customers say: Quality work
"Rombyk painting did an excellent job. They are hard workers and pay attention to details. My house was overdue for painting, it required a lot of scraping and sanding., they worked long days getting it prepped for the paint. The price was good and stayed true to the original quote even with extra work. I will hire them again for any professional painting and recommend them to others."

"Zakary Fike came out to look at the project. He provided a rough estimate of $14-20,000 to clean, refinish/paint. As I expect to move soon I decided not to invest that much. He then reccommended an individual to do the cleaning and suggested a method of freshing the exterior appearance that I could do."

Most homeowners opt for semi-gloss or high-gloss paint to make the baseboards stand out against the walls. If you’d rather keep things subtle, matching the wall sheen with eggshell or satin also works well. When your trim has nicks or dents, reach for a flatter, matte finish—it hides minor imperfections better than a shiny coat.
Stripping old paint from trim costs $1 to $3 per linear foot. Pros use specialized tools and techniques to lift away existing layers without gouging the wood, then prep the surface for a fresh finish. While it adds to your budget, proper removal protects the molding and sets the stage for a smoother, longer-lasting paint job.
Tackling the baseboards first often leads to crisper lines. Painting trim first lets you tape off the boards instead of the walls, so you’re less likely to splatter color where you don’t want it. Any stray marks on the wall get covered when you roll on the final coat, making the whole process faster and tidier.
You can absolutely paint baseboards in place. Leaving them installed avoids the risk of cracking or misaligning the boards when they’re reattached. With thorough cleaning, light sanding, and careful taping, a pro—or an experienced DIYer—can achieve a sharp, factory-smooth finish while saving you the hassle of prying off and reinstalling trim.
Painting almost always beats replacement in cost. Swapping out baseboards runs about $150 in DIY materials or roughly $1,100 with a pro, while repainting costs about $50 in supplies and $1 to $5 per square foot for labor. Unless the boards are warped or severely damaged, a fresh coat delivers the same visual upgrade for a fraction of the price.
Paintable caulk and wood filler are the go-to fixes for nail holes in baseboards. Wood filler sands flush for a glass-smooth surface, while caulk provides a flexible seal that won’t crack as the house settles. Either way, patching those tiny divots before you prime ensures your finished baseboards look seamless.
