"We have had services calls for plumbers, washing machines, dryers, garage door, A/C, faucets.  Each time the outcome was excellent.  While the time to wait for a service was often annoying, I could never beat the savings.  Knowing how address the problems encountered makes a huge difference.  Sometimes the technician would want to put in a cheaper product, such as on a faucet or a garbage disposal, but making the call the AMS myself to advocate for equal replacement always led to a happy outcome. And of course these contractors are making less money than on a regular call, because of their lower reimbursement rates form AHS, but with AMS I know they are my advocate and will insist that the contractor do a good job or AHS will not pay them.  Not a perfect system and not always immediate service, but having this warranty helps me keep home repair costs down.  I never have good success calling my own contractor so at least I know AHS has some control over who they send out.  By knowing how to maneuver through this process I have always gotten my needs met.  Thus far they have provided me a new washing machine, new kitchen faucet, and new garbage disposal, plus countless other small repairs.
