"I hired The Surface Doctors because they could reglaze in something other than white. I chose Kohler ice grey. From the first email, gunnar was responsive and patient, explaining the process and the costs. There were no hidden costs, which is refreshing from a contractor. Everything promised was delivered. Jorge was on time, made sure my bathroom and condo were protected with plastic tarps and drop cloths, and gave me updates as he went along. The process is kind of smelly, but they even have an exhaust tube they run from the bathroom to a window so the fumes go outside. Jorge cleaned up when he finished and you honestly could not tell he'd been in my condo. The final product was gorgeous, and the price also included removing the shower door, a color, and adding slip resistance. Would I hire again? Heckie yes. Would I recommend? Heckie yes. BTW in reading other posts I discovered The Surface Doctors glaze other things like sinks and tile."

We hired Chris for exterior painting which included replacing and painting wooden trim around the windows and doors. Due to the good work initially, I have hired Chris multiple times since, including the skim-coating/painting of two rooms (once to cover up splatter paint decorating and the other to fix another company’s wall paper removal gone bad in our powder room). Most recently, we hired Chris for drywall repair/painting associated with a kitchen/family room refresh; during this project, I learned learned Chris’ company was expanding into other areas and I subsequently hired him for an interior door project and to install several lighting fixtures in our dining room and foyer. Everything turned out beautifully. In all the jobs for which he was hired, Chris and his crew arrived on time, have always been respectful, pay attention to detail, and are great at cleaning up afterward. "Dominick was timely with his appointment to provide an estimate. His estimate was accurate, and they kept to their timeline. Their office staff was incredibly professional and courteous. The crew arrived, prepped the work area with plastic where appropriate, and within 20 minutes were jackhammering the existing concrete. They didn't waste any time! The crew was courteous and professional. They hauled away all the debris as promised, making sure to keep the driveway clean of material. They laid down plastic outside in their staging area for concrete - a nice touch to keep the driveway clean. They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly in the basement, walked me through their finished project, and were just generally a nice group of guys who got the job done quickly, efficiently and on budget. They even patched a few holes outside of the original scope of work. Can't ask for more than that."
