"This October, 2021, we hired Kris – owner of KJ Services to perform carpentry and paint the exterior of our house. We could not be more pleased with the services he provided. Kris emphasized while doing his estimate that he would be there every day and perform the carpentry work himself in conjunction with the house painting with his helper, Milton. Kris replaced the wood on our two gables, repaired the molding along the garage door, and other repairs on our crown and fascia. He is a craftsman, and the repairs look brand new. And by performing the carpentry and painting, he was able to completely caulk the repairs and then immediately prime the area and paint. He also sanded the exterior of our entry door and stained the exterior – the door looks brand new and beautiful. The exterior trim painting was performed with great care using paint brushes and rollers. He did not take any shortcuts with the priming and painting. He performed this work while taking into account the rain that we received recently and performed work on the weekend to take advantage of the good weather on one of the weekends. Milton also performed tuckpointing on an area of where our brickwork had separated, and we were very pleased with the result. "Alan Zuberbuehler of AZ Painting has been my go-to painter for 33 years. Most recently, in May 2021, he and his crew painted nearly the entire interior of our home. I have never worked with a better contractor of any type. For starters, AZ Painting far exceeded the basic requirement of doing a really good paint job. In fact, it was flawless. More important, Alan is a really nice guy. Doing quality work is not easy, but many people can pull it off. Alan is one of a very few who also make you proud to know him and happy to have had him do work in your home. This is exemplified by the fact that one of the two people on his crew has worked with him for more than 20 years, and that the other has been with him for nearly as long. You don't generate that kind of loyalty without being a pretty good boss. We contacted Alan in late April to ask if he could give us a quote for painting the interior of our home in anticipation of listing it for sale. He responded in a timely manner, and came to our home on a Sunday to look at the scope of the work. Knowing that we wanted to get the work done as quickly as possible, Alan provided us a price quote, and had already contacted some of his other committed clients and gotten their permission to delay their jobs so that he could accommodate us. AZ Painting was at work in our home the next day. They arrived when they said they would. They worked efficiently and professionally. They were happy, friendly, and polite. They were considerate of our feelings about masking up when we were at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. More than once, a member of the crew stayed late in order to finish a particular part of the job so they could work more efficiently the following day. They used high quality paint. They took pains to protect our floors from damage. When they left at the end of each day, our home was completely usable but for the very small area set aside for their paint and gear. Alan usually stayed later than the others in order to organize materials and to plan the sequence of work for the next day. For this level of service and quality of work you could easily expect to pay a premium price. Not so. The cost of the work was perfectly reasonable. More important, the cost of the work was exactly what Alan had quoted us."

The main reason I called them was to have out kitchen painted.  They did a fantastic job.  We have new cabinets and I jokingly threatened them about getting any paint on them.  Not a spec...the trim work is outstanding.  Some of the area's are hard to reach due to the layout of the kitchen and the height of the ceilings, but they were able to handle all of it.

I also had them do a few other odd jobs which will be hard to describe, but all the work was done very well.

They showed up on time, ready to work. 

Rebecca was very good about working with me on my request, and very honest about what could and couldn't be done...and what to expect with the outcome.  She was VERY responsive, professional and honest throughout the entire job.  AND...they even came in under their quote!

We have other projects that we will need done in our home and I will definitely use them for as many as they are qualified to do.  I'm very pleased with the work.

"Mr. Sullivan brought an assistant and they cleaned our Appleton 2-story Victorian home's gutters and repaired a spot damaged by an ice dam in last year's severe winter.
