Portanova Roofing sent a gentleman named Jim Corry to my home on probably the coldest, windiest day of the year. Jim took some measurments and that very same day came up with an estimate. He resented me with a book of samples and allowed me to pick our favorite. Jim and his team came up with a date the following week for the removal and replacement of our existing 30 year old roof. When the day came, Jim's team arrived at exactly the chosen time and began to strip the old roof. Amazingly, they completed the task of removing the shingles and began to inspect the wood for any damages. Jim made a recommendation for some boards that needed replacement. We agreed that the boards needed replacement. His team carried on with the installation and by late afternoon the entire roof had been replaced. His team made certain the debris was picked up completely. I was so impressed with the precision of his team. Professional workmanship and just amazing results. Neighbors commented on how quickly and professional they worked. The next day his team completed the installation of new gutters and downspouts. Placed perfectly and again, no debris left anywhere. We are thrilled that Portanova Roofing of Weymouth was able to get the job done so perfectly. Would I recommend Jim Corry and Potanova Roofing to my friends and family??? You bet I would. The owner is very honest person who does what he tells you, without any hidden fees. They where amazing from start to finish. A crew of 8 people came at 7 a.m. and worked till 7:30 at night for 2 1/2 days to complete, the crew was very kind and hard working making sure everything was done correctly. Our deck is up next and From seeing the quality of work I know it will be amazing. If you are looking for a honest no nonsense company I would Highly recommend Beantown!!!

I contacted 14 contractors over the course of 2 and 1/2 years to replace and paint exterior trim that was causing leaking into our unit and the unit below. No one else would take the job due to the degree of difficulty. They had to do the work on the back of the building using 60 foot ladder and 50 foot on the front of the building in frigid weather during late December and early January. It was not cheap, but reasonable due to the conditions to take on the job. They not only replaced and painted all trim where necessary, but prepped and painted all the trim on the back of the building and some extra on the front at no extra charge. Very pleased.

This is not a local company and we thought we were contacting local roofers but they came out promptly (some local roofers did not), completed the work in good time, and were reasonably priced.

Don is the real deal - a skilled courteous professional who knows his craft and is good at it. I own an almost 100 year house with a slate roof and copper gutters and downspouts. They turned our 10'x 16' deck into a beautiful 4 season room, complete with skylights, a mini-split for heating and cooling, and a built-in Catio (for that to sit outside in doing good wether. Kevin and his crew undertook this job early in the pandemic, and despite shortages of french doors or other items, his team always found what they needed. His artisans were excellent from framers, roofers, sheet rockers, finishers, HVAC, flooring- they were all top of their trades. We have now used this room extensively for over a year. It is our favorite year-round and perfect in every single way!
