We obtained several estimates, On Top was the only company that actually climbed up on a ladder to really look at the area of concern and where work needed to be done during the estimate. After we received the quote, the work was done within the scheduled time and completed as agreed. I would definitely consider On Top again for future roofing needs."

For starters, Dan, the Project Specialist, is awesome! He is not only a truly nice, genuine person, but also a truly excellent ambassador of the company. Dan was right on time for his first visit to our home and always sent a text to let us know he was on his way for subsequent visits. He sincerely listened to our concerns and needs and then gave us several helpful suggestions and possible alternatives to achieve the outcome we wanted. He carried out a thorough inspection of our roof, attic and shed, answered every one of our questions and left us a number of shingle samples to consider. We had a couple of other companies come and look at the house previously, but none could compare with the Beantown experience. Dan stuck to his word and unlike another company that never followed up with their estimate, Beantown followed through, allowing us to gain their trust with a very reasonable estimate. Derek, the Project Manager, was also terrific. He kept us informed, telling us what to expect and when. The dumpster was delivered right on schedule, the day before the job, and Derek kept me posted on when the crew was arriving the day of. Derek orchestrated the crew like a seasoned conductor. I was amazed as to how smoothly everything went. One of the things we asked Beantown to do was to replace the trim on our shed with PVC – they did a great job, but the crown jewel was the rebuild of our cupola, whose wooden base had rotted. Derek, mapped out a plan that was carried out by his crew with an outstanding result – it looks beautiful! The job was completed by 5:30 PM and the cleanup was amazing – it was like they had never been there….and the dumpster was picked up the very next morning. I did a walk around the next day and only found one nail – unbelievable! Not only do we highly recommend this company, but we have hired them to rebuild our front and rear decks. Looking forward to another stellar experience!"

"I had a leak that can be seen from a ceiling. Called several roofing companies and got no reply back. Used home advisor and have Andrea called me and scheduled the visit promptly for Freddy to come and check the leak. Freddy was very professional, identified the leak that was due to improper seal of one of the skylights and fixed it right away. He also checked my other skylights and some had the same problem which he fixed. Freddy checked my roof for issues and provided tips for maintenance so it can last long. Definitely will recommend Global Home Improvement, Inc as a honest and very professional company !"

"Newton Roofing responded quickly to my general roof repair request. Rich Mello came out and assessed the situation and suggested both a roof patch repair and/or a partial roof replacement. He was informative and helpful. Not a hard sell at all. Quickly emailed an estimate for both jobs. I thought the price was good on both. I went with the patch repair and a month later it was completed. They even were good at cleaning up and looking for dropped nails."

"I am very pleased with the roof replacement. The workers were very thorough, neat, efficient, and professional. During the project they noticed a lot of rotted wood and were able to repair that as well. From the entire process - initial meeting; sales; work performed; and cleanup; I have nothing negative to say. Outstanding work."

"Initially they were responsive and got to the job quickly. They started one day later than their initial estimate and finished the job in a day and a half. The roof has gone through the Arthur downpour with no apparent leaks.
The cleanup wasn't perfect, as there were small pieces of old roofing and cellophane strips left on the ground. In a couple of places where the roof changed direction the shingles didn't conform fully to the shape leaving some gaps. Also, when they reflashed around the chimney they put the new flashing one course above the old flashing, rather than digging out the old flashing and inserting the new material in the same place.
When I called about the issues they were pleasant, but it took a few weeks for a representative to come out and review things, and then three more weeks for them to come to resolve the first two issues. The flashing is just the way they do things and is OK.

"Reading the other reviews I'm a bit horrified and thinking about going up and checking by myself, though the roof is pretty steep so I rather live... but we had overall great experience. Quick appointment, believable explanations and the price seemed to be right (we didn't bring anyone else to quote, so cannot state if for 100%). The roof itself seemed to be reasonable, but then we added the chimney cap and that was quoted at $1500 and then lowered to $1200. Is that the right price - I do not know, but since they were already on the roof I assumed asking them is easier than looking for new contractor. The dumpster was left couple of days over - which made our life a bit difficult since it was taking our drive-way, but it was promptly removed upon request. Honestly - I'm very happy with the job and I think I will call them again if I had another roof. One more thing - read very carefully the financing agreement if you financing. I read it and we decided to opt out of it and just pay by credit card. Pretty scary."
