"I went with Ken because of all the roofers I spoke to, he was the only one that wanted to address my concern about attic ventilation. All of the other roofers just wanted to slap shingles up. Ken, on the other hand, actually looked inside the attic and came up with a plan to get better ventilation in the attic. With the winters we've been having, I wanted better ventilation to help mitigate any issues with ice dams. His plan was to open up the soffit along the whole front and back sides of the house and put in a perforated material to allow much more ventilation than the small vents every 8 or so feet that I had. Ken also had no problem pulling back the siding by the dormer windows and shed dormer because there was no flashing. I even asked Ken if he could go overkill and use 12' of ice and water barrier from the bottom of the roof. All of my concerns were addressed and I felt comfortable letting Ken's crew do the work.
I am pleased with the work done. The roof/skylight was complete in one day, but everything else took a little longer than expected. I had asked to have the siding by the dormers to be pulled back so that flashing could be put in place. I had issues with leaking by the dormer windows because there was no flashing. However, apparently my siding was a non-standard size and had to be special ordered. This delayed the process for a bit. Now the work is complete, and I'm happy everything turned out great!

"Quick response to repair leak which was great because heavy rains were on the way. Partial roof replacement was very conveniently scheduled around the weather and my and my tenants availability. Work was completed in less than a full day. They cleaned up well. No mess left outside the house or on the porches (3 family house)."

The job turned out more difficult than we thought it would be but Long Roofing made me feel comfortable and reassured that they would fix everything. They were able to remove the snow and ice from the roof, repair the tile and seal the area in the attic where the water was coming in. "Everything was great except cleanup. There was a misunderstanding about which shingles we wanted, but Willard made good on it. They even removed a small area where they had installed the wrong shingles and replaced them with the right shingles, all at no extra charge. The new roof looks great. The only problem was cleanup. We found a large number of nails in our yard and on our driveway, and a lot of pieces of plastic lying around."
