"The first company went well, but CHW wanted a second opinion, so they attempted to send a company that would not present air conditioning license to customer.  A matter of fact as stated by CHW supervisor I refused service from second company, only b/c I asked for professional license. In the state of Georgia, by law, anyone touching a whole house ac/heating unit must have a professional license, just like a plumber, electrician.  According to the supervisor I spoke with at CHW, I am only supposed to receive a qualified technician in the field of air conditioning, but according to the state of Georgia, that would be a licensed professional person, that is required to have federal and EPA certificate's, not to mention CEU's to keep their state license.  So b/c I questioned the professionalism of the second company they picked, they said I refused.  I stated, "send another company that has a professional license, the supervisor from CHW, said my technician did not need to be certified in anything, the company I sent to you, has done many jobs for us, so they are certainly qualified. The supervisor just kept saying I refused, I did not refuse, I just wanted a license professional, so if my house did burn down, I didn't have Allstate at my back saying why didn't I do my "due diligence."   After all is said and done, b/c our ac unit is outside and now rusted after 23 years( I think), they will not cover it, b/c it is rusted, not b/c this would be normal wear and tear if you left your ac unit outside.  So take heed, if you want this home warranty company to honor your ac unit agreement, you need to build it in it's own enclosure away from all the elements of rain and snow..
